If anyone from Wyndham offers you discount tickets or anything else, do NOT take them. It’s just a way to lure you in so they can take your money. I thought an hour of my time was fair for discounted theme park tickets, but 3-hours later, I was taken for tens of thousand of dollars! Virtually everything I was told was a lie. Go figure- even the salespeople for a huge, well-known company are as shady as any others. Easy booking? Lie. Renting points for income? Lie. There would always be a way to cancel. Lie (I only had 5 days). Once the contract is paid off, there are no fees. Lie (maintenance fees are for life).
They will open a credit card without explicitly stating so and with a ridiculous interest rate. When I returned home, I discovered I had a legal right to cancel that they couldn’t be bothered to mention. By the time I discovered that, it was too late. It’s always something with them!

Wyndham timeshare is a huge ripoff!
If you go to a Wyndham timeshare presentation and are in any way distracted their salespeople will get
you locked into a seemingly endless circle of high cost, high interest rate, and contracts full of hidden
fees. These people with total disregard for your age or financial situation will lie directly to your face. I
know, I have been busy unraveling their web of lies for five years now. I was promised access to specific
destinations; when in fact they do not have access to without going through third-party companies with
high fees attached. They will tell you that they can “take-over” contracts from other timeshare
companies to get you to sign up with them.
This is NOT a real estate investment, it can not be rented or sold. Your fees, which they purposefully do
not review with any detail, will ONLY increase exponentially from year to year. If you can find
availability, how those “fees” are being spent will be a mystery.
I was not informed that this timeshare was a permanent membership and that I would be paying the
high monthly maintenance fees for the rest of my life, and these fees can increase whenever they want
to increase them without any input from their owners. I was always rushed through my paperwork, and
my questions were answered partially or just plain untruthfully. Given that I am well “over the hump”, in
my late 60’s now, I will say out loud, Wyndham Vacations is engaged in financial Elder Abuse!

0 Stars
If 0 stars were possible, I’d put down that many. My advice: DO NOT attend a “virtual presentation” with this outfit in San Antonio. We were told from the beginning that we were under no obligation to purchase anything and that there would be no hard feelings if we did not become “owners” (an absurd term). We were treated extremely disrespectfully as soon as we made it clear that we were not interested. The aggressive sales tactics quickly went from comical to infuriating- and the “pitch” went over by more than 30 minutes. The last joker we met with was sarcastic and rude. I couldn’t decide whether to laugh out loud or just get up and leave. We were not impressed at ANY point by these hucksters. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!

WYNDHAM IS A SCAM
We are letting the world know about the abominable treatment we received from our Wyndham Vacations presentation in Clearwater, Florida on October 30th, 2022! Due to our continued NO’s, they kept dropping the price and told us that we could take 6 months to pay our down payment and our cancellation deadline was December 14th, 2022. We attempted to cancel our contract daily from November 13th until November 17th, after finally reaching a customer service agent, we learned that the cancellation period was only for 10 days, and we now have a legal and binding contract.
The reality is that the sales staff lied to us, used deceptive sales tactics, and pressured us until we purchased a contract. BEWARE! BE CAREFUL! BE WISE!

The Wyndham Vacation Resorts
The Wyndham Vacation Resorts, Myrtle Beach will gouge you coming and going! We have the names of several of their employees that engaged in these manipulations, but it is doubtful that they can be posted here. That aside, here is the truth of the matter. We were lured into a presentation through strategically placed Marketing Agents disguised as Visitor Center employees. We were offered discounts and free attraction tickets in exchange for what was a purported short meeting. From there, we were corralled into a room with several other people. We watched a propaganda video followed by podium presentation filled with unverifiable statistics about travel costs and patterns. During this discussion, the Presenter made what we now know are completely fraudulent comments about the costs associated with their product. Then interestingly we were all told that we could not see the “show unit” due to covid-19; yet there was zero issue with having many people in a single small presentation room. This was followed up by a one-on-one presentation where we were undeniably told the following load of BS, with several people who were portrayed as “management” in the room. These items included that the contract could be refinanced, there is an exit program if this “wasn’t for us”, this is a “one day offer”, and we could cancel at any time. Unfortunately, we fell for the trap. When we tried to cancel, they would not oblige the request. So, we escalated the discussion further and the exact same people that made the comments or witnessed them, denied they did on a recorded line. When we asked about the exit program, we did not qualify, mentioning financial hardship specifically a pregnancy. These LIARS method is to just point at the contract where they point to sign but did not cover in any capacity verbally. PULL YOUR OWN RECORDED CALL! We will be waiting for our cancellation papers and a congratulatory note. We are now parents, and we will not spend one more dime on this scam.

Please run away from Wyndham Vacation.
If you are considering an ownership with Wyndham, let it be known that they are not honest about everything. It has been a very frustrating venture from the start, and we are now aware that we been scammed. It is unfortunate, but maybe our review can allow someone to avoid doing the same. All that said, we just want to get out of it and are still trying to find a way to do just that. Hopefully they will work with us, but hasn't seemed that way so far.
Someone called me from Wyndham and advicing me to pursue it legally after they have scammed myself and my wife. They even took $25000 on our behalf without our knowledge.

We cannot speak for all timeshare companies, but Wyndham Resorts is not as they appear. We have been exposed to a laundry list of sales misrepresentations and do not wish to continue our relationship with them. The volume of omissions and flat-out lies that we have experienced is overwhelming and very disappointing. DO NOT fall for their marketing tactics, which is reminiscent of an adult carny game. ANY incentive you are offered, will NEVER compensate you in exchange for 90 minutes of your time. You WILL be in store for hours upon hours of high-pressure sales, where you are trapped in a never-ending gauntlet of lies to navigate.
We really were okay with our decision to try their trial program they offered. However, as we have now discovered, you will not even get the opportunity to “try” anything. What you have become is a prized “mark”. We have been hoodwinked two more times. They have not delivered on the promises because they were based on lies. They are NOT affiliated with Disney, as was claimed by their salespeople.
WATCH OUT for sales calls too! Sign NOTHING…what sounds reasonable of “just $30 per month” turns into thousands and thousands of dollars in the end. Restarting a ten-year, high interest rate loan that you cannot refinance is another trick they use. Think of your house mortgage with a credit card interest rate…because that is what it is. All for the privilege to stay at Wyndham Resorts where the sofa bed still had the linen and blankets on from the previous guests, there was hair in the jacuzzi and garbage from previous family in the trash can.
