Never do business with Wyndham
As the “Biggest Timeshare Company” you would think that Wyndham destinations would be a little more worried about their reputation. We have been to two presentations since becoming owners in April 2022. In both instances we were lied to about what we own, what we would receive upon upgrading, and how we can use our points. At the second meeting, the guy actually apologized on behalf of the previous salesman for lying and then proceeded to tell even worse lies himself. Based on the offer of a special deal by him and his manager, we upgraded our contract, but never received the promised benefits. After repeatedly promising to help us get that situation straightened out, he eventually just stopped responding to our texts and calls. This is when we realized that we had been victims of fraud. In addition to this, we were told our maintenance fees would be lower, that by changing our ownership we were increasing the investment potential of this “property” and that we could easily rent out our extra points to pay our fees and payments. This type of sales is illegal in several states, and we are currently working to nullify our contract. If we had realized how deceitful the entire Wyndham Destinations company is, we would never have attended that first presentation, no matter what they were giving away. We have demanded that our contract be terminated immediately because it was obtained through fraud and dishonesty; to date we have had no response.
