I was a satisfied Club Wyndham owner…
I was a satisfied Club Wyndham owner with affordable monthly payments and benefits that met my expectations. When I attended a sales meeting with Mr. Payne, I was open to learning about an upgrade but made it clear that I relied on the accuracy and honesty of the information presented because I was not familiar with Wyndham’s programs. During the approximately two-hour presentation, Mr. Payne explained the ownership program, changed my home resort from Hawaii to another location, and assured me he would be my primary point of contact. Unfortunately, he became difficult to reach after the sale, and his responsiveness was inconsistent despite those promises. A major factor in my decision to upgrade was Mr. Payne’s representation that my unused ownership points could potentially generate up to $10,000 annually and help offset my maintenance fees. This claim significantly influenced my decision to move forward. We also discussed a monthly payment between $300 and $350. However, after reviewing the contract, I discovered the actual payment exceeded $600 per month, nearly double what had been represented. When I raised concerns, Mr. Payne assured me the amount would be corrected within 10 days and adjusted to the agreed-upon range. That never happened. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, canceled appointments, and significant discrepancies between what was promised and what was delivered have completely eroded my trust. What began as a positive ownership experience turned into a frustrating and financially stressful situation. Had the representations made during the sales presentation been accurate and honored, I would have remained a satisfied Wyndham owner. Instead, I feel misled and disappointed. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this upgrade process and would strongly encourage others to verify all claims in writing before signing any agreement.
