We attended a Club Wyndham sales pitch in Waikiki Beach, HI, on 4/27/23. We were assured that it would not be a long, high pressured sales pitch. Our skepticism proved to be warranted… It was well over two hours long, and very high pressured. We were especially displeased that the reasons we gave for not wanting to sign on were met with indifference and increased pressure to sign on. It was an insulting experience to be patronized and treated by their sales people as if we don't know what's best for us, but they do. Before this presentation, we were unlikely to have been swayed to buy in. After this presentation, we are 100% sure we made the right call. To sum up, this sales pitch was more insulting and more high pressured than any that we've sat through at a car dealership.

0 Stars. Buyers BEWARE!!! We have been owners since 2014, we have paid our annual dues every year like clockwork. This year, we received the "this is not a bill" letter and never received the actual bill. They charge you around $8-10 fee to send you a bill and never sent it. I realized it never came and paid it in March, come to find out that they had already turned us over to collections!!! We received over $200 in fees for a bill that was paid less than 2 months late. When I attempted to settle this with them, they blamed us and said that we "opted" for paper billing rather than automatic withdrawal. The gentleman that I spoke with stated that he was recording this issue as they had received a LOT of similar complaints. He offered to give us a refund of one late fee of $15. Here's the question...if the late fee is $15, why weren't we charged $30 in late fees? Why didn't we receive a notice that the January payment had been missed with a warning it would go to collections? Why is Whyndham doing this to multiple owners and getting away with this? We invested in this so our family could go on nice vacations and this "ownership" has been nothing but a nightmare. TOTAL SCAM. Save yourself a lot of headache and grief and just pay for Airbnb, the cost of the actual timeshare plus the annual fees and added booking fees cost more than if you just paid for a vacation outright.

You cannot imagine the level of irritation we feel for Wyndham Vacation Ownership. We purchased pre-Covid, and we have never used our timeshare since. Before you start blaming Covid…turn your sights on Wyndham. We lost our points because we were not informed that we could bank them. Meanwhile, we had to pay maintenance fees year after year. Once the pandemic calmed down and people could travel, we had no idea how to use our timeshare. The only calls we received from Wyndham were from them trying to sell us more points, but they wouldn’t explain how to use our current points. Once they got our attention, we were simply lied to, they said we needed to buy more in order to use our points to pay our maintenance fees, sell our points to pay off the timeshare faster, or receive RCI deals. Our salesperson said this was a fantastic investment opportunity and promised he would follow up with us by phone throughout the year to ensure we were on track with how we wanted to use our timeshare. We truly believed that they had our best interests at heart. We were just wrong, they con you into buying more, only with their financing, of course. You won’t figure out until later that the interest rates will double the cost of the loan, and that is before the rest of the fees kick in. We want nothing more than to get rid of this timeshare, it is a disaster, and it has zero value to us or anyone else

I have had it with Wyndham and their complete lack of compassion or decency.  This company took advantage of my wife and I while we were planning our wedding and honeymoon. They managed to take one of the happiest moments of our lives and turn it upside down. We went to a meeting and were harassed and manipulated for FOUR hours until we bought a Discovery package, which is basically a trial membership. When we booked our trip using the package, we had to go to yet another meeting. Again, we were manipulated and even bullied. Our salesperson told us we could use our timeshare to stay on Disney property and take Disney cruises, which was never true. He also pulled out an iPad and had us type in our information but did not say he was running a credit check. When he said we were not approved, we were shocked, but what is worse is he INSTRUCTED us to fudge our income level so we could qualify. These people will do about anything to make a buck.

If you're considering a timeshare with Wyndham, I implore you to reconsider. My experience with this company has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The sales tactics used by Wyndham are nothing short of unethical and deceptive. The salespeople lied and omitted vital information to manipulate me into purchasing the timeshare. They even encouraged me to falsify financial information during the contract signing process. Wyndham has repeatedly failed to fulfill their promises and has been progressively stealing from me since I signed the contract. The most recent incident was when a representative named Nina Middleton promised to investigate my concerns and contact me on April 4th but failed to follow through, just another day, and another lie from Wyndham's representatives. Do not trust Wyndham with your money or your time. Their sales practices are unethical and deceptive, and they will pressure you into making decisions that you may come to regret. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this company.

Save yourself the headache that we have been through- when Wyndham tries to sell you dream vacations at an “affordable” price, know that it is all a lie. The only thing they are accomplishing in their sales office is scamming good people out of their money and ruining the once good name of Wyndham. That is exactly what happened to my husband and me. The salesman lied to us about what we were buying. We have never been able to book an ocean front room as promised. Maybe that’s because anyone can stay at Wyndham resorts, even non-owners. Why are we paying to be owners at a resort that was supposedly exclusive to owners if we can book better rooms online? What’s worse is the complete lack of customer service. We have tried several times to voice our concerns to no avail. We have even contacted the CEO directly, yet no one seems to care. It’s alarming that they will ignore every form of contact that we attempt but have no shame in taking our money!

Vacation nightmares…that’s all I can think when it comes to WorldMark. Their staff took advantage of me at one of the most vulnerable times in my life and had no second thoughts about it. I was going through a tough time with my children, and they used my kids against me, along with falsehoods to dupe me into a timeshare. My ex alienated my kids from me, so that was used often during the presentation. They pulled on my heartstrings telling me I could take my family anywhere at any time, I could leave this to my children when I die, and I would regret not spending as much time as I could with them. I was even told I could profit from this purchase, probably because I also said we were in a financial tough spot too. All of it was bull! There is no way to make a dime from the timeshare. My kids CAN inherit this, but they would also inherit the financial responsibility. When I tried to cancel, I was completely blown-off. Now I am stuck with payments I can’t afford for something I can never use.

One thing that I can say Wyndham is good at is selling you a dream! These timeshare offers are nothing but a headache for the simple fact that maintenance fees are for a lifetime, and you don’t own anything. We sat through countless hours with one of Wyndham’s master manipulators that convinced me and another dozen people into falling for the plethora of misrepresentations including but not limited to Timeshare Ownership. I didn’t even know owning a Timeshare was a dream, I thought homeownership was. Regardless, we were promised that we could book at any time, which was a lie, and we were told that if we couldn’t pay our dues, we could transfer ownership to other family members. In fact, every time we tried to book it was never available. Looks like the dream we were promised only turned into financial hardship with no benefit or return.
