Our encounter with Worldmark and the timeshare purchase has left us feeling hopeless and uneasy. Our initial introduction to Worldmark occurred in a park, where we were offered a $100 dinner and a 2-night hotel stay. However, to redeem the prize, we had to sit through a 45-minute presentation, which was not initially communicated to us. At the presentation we had to sit through a lengthy video and a subsequent sales pitch by Lori Sonnenberg. The process felt protracted and high-pressure, which made us uncomfortable. We eventually surrendered to the allure of rental income and lifelong timeshare benefits due to the fear of missing out on a supposed limited time offer. During the contract signing, we were hurriedly guided by David Moreno. Important aspects of the contract were not mentioned or explained, and we were advised by David to manipulate our financial information, a practice that left us uneasy. As owners, we encountered challenges with vacation availability, particularly during peak times, which we had emphasized were important to us. The undisclosed RCI membership and associated annual fees were a surprising and unwelcome revelation. While our intention was to embrace a promising opportunity for vacations and potential rental income, we have found the reality to be quite different. The sales process lacked transparency and made us feel pressured. Given the unanticipated medical issues and resulting financial strain, we now kindly request the termination of our timeshare contract to alleviate our current predicament.

The way I was treated by WorldMark is nothing short of appalling. Salespeople took advantage of me because I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. They misled me and caused me to take on a financial burden that I simply cannot handle. A salesperson approached me at a Las Vegas hotel and offered me free tickets to a show if I agreed to attend a one-hour presentation. I agreed, but the presentation turned out to be very stressful. There was deal after deal offered, but we told them that we couldn't afford it. They kept pushing us and even got aggressive. Eventually, I caved and agreed to make a monthly payment of $267. To my shock, I later discovered that they had conducted a credit check on me without my permission and opened a credit card in my name. They charged me $4,845.80 as a down payment and $170 per month in addition to the $120 monthly membership fee from Worldmark. This was a lot more than I had agreed to pay, and I never consented to any of it. I attempted to cancel the contract, but the sales representatives didn't inform me of my legal right to do so. They rushed me through the signing process, and I didn't even know the total cost of the purchase. Now, I am left with a monthly bill of $557, which is far too much for me to manage. I am extremely upset about this situation and hope that no one else is put through this.

Horrible staff and customer service. Lie to quests. Staff was up all night outside our window partying and yelling. Staff yelled at my 60 year old wife and berratted her as she walked away from the insane front desk guy. I had to yell at him to stop it, and we could still here him two floors up in our room talking trash about my wife.

Scheming, scamming Wyndham… STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Despite being treated to lavish perks during the presentation (show tickets, free buffet, etc.), we were held captive for three hours, causing us undue stress and discomfort. We were misled into borrowing points from future years with the false promise that our family members could use them, only to later discover the hidden fees and debt that came with it. The sales pitch about the "great value" of purchasing now conveniently left out the fact that there were no guarantees of reselling the timeshare and that we could be held liable for the buyer's failure to pay. Even the meetings in Vegas were just another layer of deception, with each person adding to the falsehoods. We regret that we were not properly informed of the financial aspects of our purchases, and the maintenance fees have now become unmanageable for us as elderly retirees. We owe a significant amount that is beyond our means, and we demand to be released from this contract that only benefits Wyndham. The fact that the employees are so comfortable taking advantage of us is disgusting.

Wyndham Destinations is VERY SNEAKY and CAREFUL with the words they use – When we attended a sales meeting in NV, the Rep said if we switched our points from Panama City Beach, FL to NV we would save on HOA Fees, spoiler alert, there is NO savings whatsoever! The reality is we ended up spending more money on points for very little, if anything in return. We were also told that WITH OUR NEW CONTRACT WE COULD SELL IT ANY TIME. I’m sure you know what I’m about to say next, ‘THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN EITHER!’ and you’d be correct. That was just another lie. We’ve looked online, and found endless timeshares on various websites, that have been sitting for months if not YEARS, and the price?! Oh goodness, the listing price is around $10, yes you read that correctly. $10 (Ten dollars or LESS) and some that were listed for as little as $1. So, if that is not clear evidence that timeshares are worthless, I don’t know what is!

I canceled my reservation and they still charged me
