I am extremely dissatisfied with the way my experience with Wyndham's timeshare presentation was handled. My family and I were promised a free vacation, but instead, we ended up feeling controlled and misled into purchasing a timeshare. The 90-minute presentation turned into a grueling four-hour ordeal. Sales representatives John and Gina made promises of luxurious vacations and investment opportunities. Despite our concerns about our limited ability to travel with young children, they continuously assured us that the timeshare would be a valuable asset for our family’s future. They pressured and manipulated us into signing up on the spot. The "Return to Learn" meeting was equally disappointing. Instead of learning how to use our membership effectively, we were forced into upgrading our timeshare. The sales representative at this meeting was incredibly pushy and failed to provide us with any valuable information. When we attempted to use our points and access the promised benefits, we discovered that there were no available options. We were never informed about the monthly costs, which now total over $300, along with maintenance fees exceeding $100 per month. We were also deceived about the nature of the loan, as it was never disclosed as a mortgage, and the true extent of our financial obligations was hidden from us. The deceptive practices employed by Wyndham and its representatives have left my family and me feeling cheated and burdened by an investment we were manipulated into making. I sincerely hope that no one else falls prey to this scheme.
