Beware of WorldMark by Wyndham
I have been a loyal customer of WorldMark for a staggering 27 years, and I can say that the quality of my vacations has plummeted over time. What was once a source of excitement and relaxation has turned into a plethora of unfulfilled promises and financial exploitation. When Wyndham took over in 2003, the once seamless reservation process turned into a convoluted mess, with hours-long 'Owner Updates' that were more like pressure-cooker sales pitches than informative sessions. Fast forward to January 2023 in Las Vegas, and I found myself in the clutches of a relentless salesman, pushing me to upgrade my contract and purchase more Wyndham credits. The promise of increased availability and rental income was alluring, but it was nothing more than a mirage. The contract signing was rushed, information was omitted, and I was given a generic contract on a flash drive that failed to meet basic legal requirements. The salesman conveniently forgot to mention my legal right to cancel the contract, leaving me in the dark about a crucial safeguard. To add insult to injury, I received a bill from Vacation Club Credit for $2,428.57 and a notice from Barclays about a loan rejection. Neither of these was disclosed during the signing process, and I certainly did not sign up for additional funding through Barclays or Vacation Club Credit. My health has deteriorated, rendering me unable to travel, and my attempts to resolve the situation with WorldMark have been met with nothing but frustration. When I reached out to Leslie in Recovery Services, she offered little help and demanded an additional $7,500 before providing any paperwork. After 27 years of loyalty, I expected better treatment. All I want is for my contracts to be canceled, my credit reports corrected, and a clean break from this once beloved but now tarnished timeshare nightmare. WorldMark, you've lost a loyal customer, and I wouldn't recommend your services to my worst enemy.
