Our experience with Wyndham was the most disappointing and costly mistake we've ever made. In 2025, we entered into three separate contracts totaling more than $112,000 (excluding maintenance fees) based on promises that ultimately proved untrue. After recovering from a near-fatal medical event, we attended a presentation in Panama City Beach after being offered a complimentary sunset cruise. Instead, we endured a four-hour-plus sales presentation, were told maintenance fees would never increase, and were assured booking vacations would be easy. We later learned neither claim was accurate. The cruise that brought us there was also canceled upon our arrival. Because we could not find available bookings using the points and vouchers, we had purchased; we returned seeking assistance. Rather than solving the problem, we were told we needed a higher membership tier and purchased an additional upgrade for $32,700. Availability never improved. Next, a telesales representative told us that Disneyland hotels were included in the program. Relying on that promise, we purchased even more points. When we later tried to book, we were informed that Disneyland hotels were not part of the Wyndham program at all. Today, we own 384,000 points and 5 unused vouchers, have spent over $112,000, and have taken zero vacations. We have not used a single night of accommodations. Meanwhile, the maintenance fees we were told would remain stable have already begun increasing. As customers over 60, we feel misled by repeated sales representations that did not match reality. We trusted the information provided by Wyndham representatives and made major financial decisions based on those statements. Instead of receiving the travel opportunities we were promised, we have been left with substantial financial obligations and no meaningful value. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this program and urge prospective buyers to verify all claims before signing any agreement.
