I signed up with Club Wyndham and their discovery program. I have been trying to contact and get the points that was said would be available right away... after weeks of attempts and reaching out to different contacts in the wyndham team I have not had any help or received points yet. It's ridiculous how slow the customer service is and how no one seems to know anything about getting the points active. This entire process has been frustrating.

We participated in the presentation to determine if Wyndham would be a good fit for us. We decided to listen to their representatives to understand the details and assess the financial feasibility. We discussed the terms, points, and other details, and after some adjustments followed a hard credit card-based sale. I was clear that I did not want to apply for any credit card or have credit checked, whether it be a "soft" or "hard" inquiry. The contract allowed us seven days to withdraw, but we were informed that we wouldn't be able to access our account for two weeks. After the withdrawal period expired, we still couldn't access our account, effectively locking us into the contract despite the issue being caused by Wyndham’s unresponsiveness, not by us. While mistakes do happen, it shouldn't take four months to address a complete lack of access to our account. I can only conclude that their lack of response and failure to return phone calls, even after their representatives were made aware of the problem, indicates that Wyndham simply does not care. They have people sign contracts, renege on what's written in the contract, and then say, "Too bad...you signed a contract." When we signed our contract, their representatives were all smiling, taking a picture with us, and saying, "Welcome to the family!" My family would never treat me like this. Simply put, I want nothing further to do with Wyndham. I will ensure that this information, including screenshots of our Zoom chat, emails, phone records, and all correspondence, is forwarded to the appropriate government agencies. I will also include corroborative statements from others who, despite being "Owners," have found themselves victimized by their practices.

Buyer Beware-completely unreliable!
The purpose of my review about Wyndham Vacations is to completely sever ties with Worldmark by Wyndham. To date I have spent over $18,000 on a timeshare that has not provided the types of benefits that were promised to me. Since becoming an owner nearly two years ago, I haven’t been able to book a single vacation. When I raised my concerns about the lack of vacations, I was coerced into an expensive upgrade that has just made my problems worse. As a social worker, I work with sick and dying individuals, help youth escape poverty through scholarships, and participate in international medical missions. I understand the need for people to work and support their families. Wyndham salespeople are impressive, but there is honest work available, even in sales. I know honest salespeople who fulfill their promises. This has not been the case with Wyndham. I would like to be reimbursed so I can take a truly luxurious vacation with my family. At the very least, I want to be completely released from any legal obligation with this company so I can use my hard-earned money to make a better life for others and myself. I am embarrassed that I fell for such blatant lies and wonder why these sales representatives and their supervisors are not held accountable for fraud and misrepresentation. Wyndham Vacation Ownership should be deeply ashamed for taking advantage of me when all I wanted to do was take vacations with my family. They lied to me about purchasing real estate. They lied to me that I could use my timeshare to earn rental income and that I wouldn’t have any issues with availability.

I paid $4,900 and told them I wanted to…
I paid $4,900 and told them I wanted to cancel a few days later after I returned home from my Labor Day weekend vacation. I verbally canceled over the phone
when someone from Wyndham called me. They said this is like a restate transaction and it will take up to 7 days for your money will be returned. Yesterday Sept. 9th 2024 I called Wyndham 800-251-8736 to ask why I had not received my money back. They said did you send us a written cancelation notice? I said no i did it verbally over the phone. They said it must be in writing. So she gave me the email address to send the cancelation notice and so i sent it and according to the contract that I have never received I was within the 10 day period. Today I am going to call the crooks that lied to me and let them know that I hate club Wyndham and wish i could get rid of it.

Wyndham Misrepresentation and Excessive Interest Rates
Our association with WorldMark, originally Trendwest in California, began more than twenty years ago. Now they are known as WorldMark by Wyndham. Initially, we were informed about two membership plans: one encompassed all existing resorts at the time, while the other included future resorts as well. We were advised that the company was expanding, presenting a promising real estate opportunity for future generations. As the company expanded, our allocated credits proved inadequate for utilizing the timeshare as desired, necessitating additional credits. Fast forward, we are absolutely disgusted with the business and sales practices perpetrated by Wyndham representatives and are demanding to be released from this contract. We were misled with false information and omissions, including claims that only owners could book with Wyndham, the potential to earn rental income from our timeshare, the promise of a credit card to reduce our monthly payments, and the benefits of the Personal Choice program. They also misrepresented the timeshare as an investment with actual real estate value, failed to disclose a high 15.90% interest rate on financing with no option for refinancing at a lower rate, and charged a $24,000 finance fee to borrow $23,000. They did not provide the Public Offer Statement, neglected to properly disclose related fees, including perpetual maintenance fees and inheritance implications for our children. The financing terms amounted to fraud in persuading us to upgrade under deceptive practices. We are DONE!

Don’t let you be fooled by them
Let’s say in very simple terms - they are a bunch of thieves who get away in conning people’s money and time, especially when you are on vacation. They are a bunch of crooks and shame the government don’t close this scam. Their staffs are intimidating and rude when you tell them that you need time to think about it. Their free certificate is a scam. The places are rubbish. Biggest scam and trap for both local and especially tourists. Message for SEAWORLD OF FLORIDA - shut their stand and don’t be affiliated with them, don’t let them TARNISH your worldwide reputation. Avoid at all cost!

Scam, waste of time and money
I have written to formally request the termination of my timeshare contract with Wyndham Resorts and ask full reimbursement for all monies paid towards this agreement. My decision to request this resolution arises from a series of misleading information and unfulfilled promises made by representatives of Wyndham Resorts which I believe were intentional to secure my sign-up and subsequent payments.
Upon my enrollment, I was assured of numerous benefits and flexibilities with my timeshare, including the ability to use points towards maintenance fees, ease and affordability of international travel, access to numerous U.S. locations without additional fees, the option to sell or rent my credits, straightforward cancellation policies, direct access to my representative for any queries, and transparency regarding my loan details. Unfortunately, my experience has been starkly contrary to these assurances made the day I signed up. During the sales presentation, I was misled about the use of points for maintenance fees, which was a significant factor in my decision to sign up. It turned out that the points could only be used for a one-time payment discount after my first payment, contrary to the ongoing benefits I was promised. The promise that traveling internationally would be much easier and cheaper was false. Despite my specific interest in traveling to Greece and Tokyo, I have found it more costly and complicated to book through the timeshare than finding deals on my own. The suitability of RCI resorts for groups was misrepresented, limiting the usability of the timeshare for my needs. On the other hand, I discovered that most U.S. locations require an additional fee for a "Club Wyndham" pass, which was not disclosed during the sales presentation.
This company is illegitimate in my opinion!

Ask to read the contract before you sign ANYthing
On the 30th of August, 2024, we went for the presentation, and heard a very polished presentation, with amazing benefits, for no extra cost than what "you spend 'anyway'". We reviewed plans with the rep assigned to us and received assurances of even greater benefits and extra points if we signed up today. I asked to review the contract - I like to check clauses, like, was the 5 day cancel clause unconditional, or did certain conditions need to be met, etc?. Things the presentation wouldn't detail, kind of stuff. They would not give me the contract to review until I signed an acceptance of the offer. The supervisor came over. He said he would try to get a contract but continued advising us of further benefits if we signed today. No contract.
We gave up, and, said "Not today", so our rep asked us to do an exit survey, so he got credit. No problem, he put in a lot of work. It was another attempt to get us to sign up. I asked for a yes/no response - can I see the contract now, before I agree to accept the offer. The 3rd guy started with the benefits and even more offers if we signed then. I said "this is not a yes/no response", and he told us to "get out", and that we "make him laugh" and there is "no way we can give out a contract before you agree". I'm sure with any lawyer, if someone came into their office and asked if they should sign a contract, their first response would be "I don't know. Let's read it and see". If the client said "They won't let me review it until I sign up", Surely the advice will ALWAYS be "Do not sign that contract!" Reading experiences online, I believe that is good advice when it comes to Wyndham Time Shares.
