My experience with Wyndham timeshare…
My experience with Wyndham timeshare has been nothing short of devastating. What began as an apparent investment opportunity two years ago quickly devolved into a financial nightmare that has severely impacted my life and credit standing. The sales process was riddled with misrepresentation and questionable practices, including having me sign contracts while under the influence of alcohol – a fact the sales team seemed to deliberately exploit. The financial structure was particularly deceptive. I was offered a credit card for the down payment without proper disclosure of its 24% interest rate. The company subsequently maxed out my credit limit without notification, resulting in $12,000 of debt. Despite making regular payments, the predatory interest rates ensure the balance barely decreases. The promised benefits never materialized. Claims about booking flexibility, resale options, and rental possibilities proved false. Even basic amenities like airport transfers in Cancun, which were pre-paid, weren't honored. The system seems designed to constantly upsell, requiring additional point purchases just to maintain status or access basic services. As someone with an existing RCI timeshare at Atlantic City's Boardwalk for over five years, I can confidently say this experience is uniquely problematic. The sales team's claim that Wyndham owned all smaller timeshare companies was completely false – my other timeshare has no connection to them whatsoever. Having spent over $7,500 for just four nights of actual usage, while dealing with health issues including heart disease and recovery from a motorcycle accident, this timeshare has become an unbearable burden. I strongly caution others to avoid this deceptive scheme that preys on trusting consumers.
