Wyndham: Dishonesty at it's Best!!
Our initial introduction to Wyndham came through a cold call offering a free trip to Ft. Lauderdale, with a required one-hour presentation, it ended up being 2 hours. During our initial sales meeting, with representative Daniel Garcia, we were led to believe that the timeshare would increase in value and could be easily resold. That was a lie, no one wants to buy these time shares in the secondary market. Also, time shares do NOT gain value. We were also told that Wyndham resorts were private and exclusive for owners only, which we've found to be misleading. In a later 3 hour grueling session there was no mention of how maintenance fees would increase over time. They used multiple representatives using aggressive sales tactics that left me in tears of frustration. We were pressured into accepting their credit card plan to cover a down payment. The experience concluded with a video contract signing that left us feeling overwhelmed and manipulated. This is a Financial Burden and represents extremely poor value for retired individuals on fixed incomes, as we can no longer sustain the increasing maintenance fees and payments. There was a lack of disclosure throughout our relationship with Wyndham, there has been a consistent pattern of failing to disclose critical information, particularly regarding the increasing maintenance fees and actual costs of ownership.
