Wyndham Vacation Club SCAM
Wyndham Vacation Ownership offers “free gifts” to trap people into making purchases that they cannot financially afford. Even if the affordability was there, the ability to use the timeshare is not. We were told we would receive a hotel gift card if we went on a short tour of the hotel. We agreed and arrived early the next morning but unbeknownst to us, we were escorted by bus to an unknown location and subjected to a relentless sales presentation that lasted several hours. They embedded into our brains the private destinations only available to “owners”. We would own a portion of real estate with this billion-dollar company. We were led to believe a Wyndham Timeshare would be an investment in real estate. After several hours of back-and-forth conversations, we reluctantly agreed to the ownership, under the understanding that cancellation would be an option. However, no details on how to cancel were provided as we were breezed through many sections of the contract when we signed. We have faced numerous issues with the timeshare, including difficulty accessing the booking website. We had even more problems trying to pay our fees, even though we contacted customer service for months to resolve it. This led to our payments being declared “delinquent” and resulted in credit disputes still pending. We have gotten zero use out of this timeshare. It has overall been a nightmare, do not subject yourself to their scams!
