My wife and I purchased our Wyndham…
My wife and I purchased our Wyndham Vacation Resorts believing it would provide us with seamless family vacations. Instead, it turned out to be a major financial burden filled with hidden costs, escalating maintenance fees, and broken promises. If you’re thinking of purchasing a timeshare, DON’T DO IT! Their sales reps are not above lying and will say ANYTHING to get you to buy a timeshare, speaking from experience. Don’t go to the presentations, I promise you whatever they’re offering as an incentive is not worth it! Some of the things they don’t tell you up front: Maintenance fees constantly increase and are owed forever even if you pay off the loan, points expire every year, availability is very limited, they sell your information to 3rd parties, and the contract is FOREVER. They wouldn’t even give me a copy of the contract, just a flash drive and said the documents were on there, but it turns out they were not. Wyndham contradicts themselves at every turn. They explicitly warn timeshare owners against using third-party companies, yet have told me on multiple occasions that my only way out of this timeshare is through a third-party resale broker. I expect Wyndham to retract what they’ve done to my credit and to cancel my timeshare contract completely with no additional fees. I just want out of this never ending nightmare.
