Deceptive Practices and Broken…
Deceptive Practices and Broken Promises: Our Nightmare with Wyndham Our experience with Wyndham has been nothing short of a disaster built on lies and manipulation. What was promised as a 90-minute presentation in Hawaii turned into a six-hour ordeal where we felt trapped after our driver's licenses were taken. Multiple salespeople rotated through, creating deliberate confusion. We were explicitly told we were purchasing actual property with titles. This was a lie—we only own points. We were never shown the Federal Truth in Lending Act disclosure. Sales representatives promised maintenance fees would never increase, yet they've skyrocketed every single year. Had we known the truth, we would have run. Wyndham promised millions in renovations to our resort. Two years later: nothing. The properties are run-down and neglected. When we requested a "nice location," we were sent to Freeport, Bahamas—a shipping island where the hotel was literally falling apart. No shower doors, holes in floors, cracked bathtubs that couldn't hold water, and overwhelming mold smell forced us to abandon the resort and spend thousands out-of-pocket for habitable accommodations. The promised two free weeks for attending the presentation? Never received them despite multiple calls. We were forced to accept a resort credit card under false pretenses about paying maintenance fees. Every vacation is ruined by relentless harassment—daily early morning phone calls pressuring us to "round up" our points. Most appalling: when my wife was diagnosed with cancer and I left work to care for her after major surgery, we requested hardship assistance. Wyndham showed zero compassion and demanded we keep paying regardless of our circumstances. This company operates through deception, broken promises, and complete disregard for customers. Avoid Wyndham at all costs.
