My experience with her.
My experience with this nurse practitioner was deeply disappointing and had a significant emotional impact on me. It undermined the trust I placed in her as a mental healthcare professional. During our sessions, I experienced what I felt were blurred professional boundaries, inappropriate personal disclosures, and inconsistent communication. Although boundaries were discussed, I continued to experience interactions that felt inconsistent with those expectations. This created confusion and made it difficult for me to feel comfortable and secure in the therapeutic relationship. I sought professional mental health care and support, but I often felt that the focus shifted away from my treatment needs. This inconsistency affected my trust and made the experience emotionally distressing rather than supportive. My concerns were compounded when my care was ended without prior notice or a clear opportunity to discuss the transition. I felt unprepared for the sudden end of treatment, and the lack of communication added to an already difficult experience. In my view, effective mental healthcare requires consistent professional boundaries, clear communication, and consideration for the patient's emotional well-being, including when treatment comes to an end. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of these expectations. I am sharing my experience because trust, transparency, and professionalism are essential in mental healthcare. I hope others will consider the importance of these qualities when choosing a provider.
