This is the first time that I purchased a writeyboard and I am not sure I would have purchased one if I knew how hard it was to put up. It was terribly frustrating and in fact, I could not get portions of the paper backing off so that looks terrible on my wall. I do like the way it works and the look but the installation was very very frustrating.

Hi Dean, Thanks for your feedback, sorry for any frustration you may have incurred. Were you able to review the Installation Video prior? With the Ghost you have to take extra precaution to remove half of the backing at a time since the remnants will show through. Please reach out to [email protected] and we can arrange to have another Ghost sent to you. We want to ensure that you have the best possible results. Best, The WriteyBoard Team

The website was unable to handle an online order so I had to do it through a "live chat". The rep was very helpful and saved the sale because I was done with them. AND I had to go through an invoice process because the website was unable to run the transaction. All of that and the product isn't worth the money. The calendars curl up on the wall and have to be thumbtacked down. They don't damage the wall when you remove them but they don't stick either.

I really like the concept and if I could get the air bubbles out it might be perfect. I worked on them for hours. No luck

Hi Cecilia, Thanks for your feedback. If it's not too much trouble please send a photo of your WhiteyBoard to [email protected] so we might be able to better determine the cause. Typically the bubbles occur if there's some residual moisture or uncured part of the wall which causes the material not to stick properly. We'll look forward to finding a prompt resolution to the matter and appreciate your patience. Best, The WhiteyBoard Team

Two different type of samples were requested, but one only one type sent

We have loads of bubbles from applying the Whiteyboard, maybe the company should provided a roller to help smooth out the bubbles? Followed all the direction given, but still not easy cause of the 14' size. I really like the product, but being 14' long made it very difficulty to place on the wall without bubbles.

Directions on the can are not very explicit; you have to go online to the company website "FAQ" section for useful tips. Main issues... 1. The instructions on the can do not include a drying time between multiple coats. 2. The instructions on the can do not include tips or information for base coating on porous and/or dark surfaces. What I learned... 1. If possible, place the surface being coated on a flat surface or else otherwise orient it horizontally; doing so helps avoid runs and drips. 2. (If covering a chalkboard or similar surface) Clean the surface, and then let it air dry; apply a white, oil-based primer to the surface, and then let it dry completely; use a foam applicator rather than the 1/4" nap roller the can suggests - the foam applicator will help avoid streaking. Basically, I shouldn't have to tell anyone these things in a customer review. The company needs to provide this kind of information on their can; they can use a pull-out label to fit more instructions and tips, other products do so. My chalkboard is now a relatively effective dry-erase board, but it looks ugly with run lines, and the original dark green color is not completely whited-out after two coats (two full cans = $$$).

I have used this product many times, good product, excellent packaging. But now in order to "save money" ~ a cheap flimsy plastic wedge has replaced a previous good installation tool, made of strong plastic with a felt piece on one side to help smooth out bubbles. This is not the best place to save pennies. You can have the greatest product every...but if it looks like crap after installing it ... then repeat sales are nonexistent!!! This is basic sales 101, also the product used to come with a simple one page reminder how to install the product, hints for best results. Now there are none, increasing the likelihood of a poor installation and dissatisfied client.
