When I had to redo my resume, I ended up changing pretty much everything. The only thing that stayed the same was the layout. But even that had to be tweaked because many ATS were messing up the text and dates. I spent about four months applying for jobs with no luck.
Unfortunately, it didn't pan out as I hoped. They asked for 3 job postings to target my resume. The resume they came up with was mainly focused on a job posting that didn't really match my skills and experience. And when I asked them to tweak it towards the other 2 job postings, they wanted more money as an "additional service". They claimed they had two different resumes—one for ATS and one for visuals. But turns out, the only difference was that one had blue titles instead of black.
Then there was the cover letter "template" they provided. It was more like a vague outline with a couple of examples. Compared to other AI tools out there, this service fell short in both quality and price.

They have no business creating resumes…
They have no business creating resumes for the entertainment industry. Spent no time 'getting to know' my story or my positive professional traits. Listed my job title as something that doesnt exist in the film industry and didnt change it even after multiple revisions. I am sure they are great in the general writing of resumes for tech or business world but they really dont know anything about film/tv business.

For some reason, you believe that you are in a field that requires something other than a resume. At no point did you participate in the process, all you did was complain. And yet, we have written resumes for people with far more experience than you who have gotten amazing positions in the upper echelons of the entertainment field.
We wish you nothing but success. However, since you refuse to actually trust a process that has many hundreds of satisfied clients in all fields, I assume you won't use the amazing document we created for RECRUITERS. They don't want to know your "story" or your "positive personality traits" but, instead, want to know how you can bring value to your next employer. That is what we provided.

I feel like I did all the work for…
I feel like I did all the work for them. The worksheet upfront is very extensive and my work on that plus my given existing resume was just slightly rewritten for their resume version. Also, the difference between the ATS version or "visual" version was simply the adding of background bar colors for the headlines. I was pretty disappointed!
I will also not use the LinkedIn banner they provided as it looks ridiculous. I am in the creative industry and it would do more harm than benefit me in the long run. I had paid for the full package but other than a resume that is just a rewritten version of my existing one and a document with a list of job sites that everyone already knows who is looking for a new job in a while, I got no real benefit of this purchase.

Thanks for your feedback. It would have been great if you had approached us with your concerns, but I can't find anything like that in our emails.
If you had read the FAQ and other material we sent to you as part of the package, you would understand that this is a business document meant to flow through an ATS but also to be easily scanned by a recruiter. This is based on hundreds of hours of research with our network of 5K recruiters, industry experts, along with psychology insights from researchers.
They don't care if you are "a creative" or not. They need to easily scan for facts, figures, and values. They don't need an icon to tell them that is your phone number, location, etc. We showed you the researched scan pattern of hundreds of recruiters. That is our main focus.
The banner we sent was YOUR LI profile banner photo with achievements on it. Again, through research, we have found that recruiters see those and immediately check further because you already showed your value. However, since you haven't updated your LI profile with all the achievements, value statements, and keywords, it probably won't show in searches.
What we provide is a full package of services that help people get jobs. It works for those who choose to use them.
