I really like what this company stands for. It mirrors my own thoughts and feelings in combating global warming and creating a better, sustainable, greener Earth for our future.

Super easy tool to calculate your carbon footprint. Monthly price plan for my family was also really acceptable! :)

It is great to see an organisation doing what needs to be done to save our planet. It is real. They are supporting great projects and actually making a difference. Now is the time for you to make a difference. The world belongs to all of us and especially our children. We made the mess, let's clean it up and not leave it for our children to do.

I call shenanigans... I live on a pre owned sailboat, harvest 75% of my non vegetarian diet from sustainable sources (which are non game invasive species), use exclusively solar & wind power, purchase clothing second hand, and even desalinate my own drinking water with solar power. My actual carbon footprint isn't quite zero, but it's substantially closer than is purported by Wren. Add in the positive environmental impact of targeting invasive plants & animals as food sources and their survey treads into the realm of absurdity.

Hi Kaiser! I'm sorry you didn't find our carbon calculator useful. While we do account for energy usage (and whether it comes from renewable sources or not), we don't yet have a way to take living on a sailboat into account. The goal of the calculator is to provide an easy and fun estimate of your footprint, without getting too into the weeds. We use data and research from UC Berkeley and World Bank to power our calculator—if you'd like to learn more or share ideas for new calculator questions, please send us a message at [email protected] :)

Wren is the first tangible means I have found to move the climate emergency needle in the right direction. I offset 200% of my monthly carbon footprint. To say I'm a huge fan is a vast understatement.

Pros: - great documentation of projects and how funds are distributed - based on scientific evidence - easy to sign-up Cons: - you get bombarded with emails asking to spend more even if you choose the most expensive plan (Climate Hero) - the company is for-profit, which makes it hard to deduct my contributions from taxes and to participate in donation match programs (e.g. from my employer) that would further increase my impact - (update) Wren has tried to take this review down by claiming that I have not had genuine experience with them. I have provided documentation proving otherwise to Trustpilot, but many would be too lazy to do so, so no wonder they only have great reviews on this site. Reducing my rating to 1 star.

Hi Sergiy! Thanks for leaving us a review. As is customary when receiving a complaint, we requested more information about your experience. We did not hear back, and are unable to verify what email your account is under, and what messages you received. Could you please send an email to [email protected] with the information you provided TrustPilot so we can investigate? In terms of emails, we have a cap in place to ensure no user receives more than a few per week. For new paying members, we send a few welcome messages to get you caught up on the Wren platform and how your money will be spent. We also provide an option at the bottom of each email to unsubscribe or tailor what types of emails you'd like. For example, you can choose to *only* receive project updates as a member, or sign up for new emails related to reducing your footprint :) And on the topic of our status as a Benefit Corporation (rather than a traditional non-profit), I recommend visiting our FAQ, where we talk about this in-depth: https://www.wren.co/faq#business-structure Thanks, Ben

I subscribed and enjoy the updates about the projects. I like to know what types of actions are being taken to help in the climate crisis.
