The project by its own is grat. The updates come regularly and it really gifs you a sense of impact. My only critic might be that you don’t pay for one specific project but rather just for Wren with all its projects. This means you can’t help guide the direction to where Wren evolves.

I am very pleased to contribute to the Wren organisation! It give me peace of mind to know that I'm making a difference to our world!

Simple, effective and science-based way to offset your CO2 emissions. Their communication is clear and direct, you always know what you're paying for with regular updates on their projects. No frills and no conscience-clearing, marketing sugarcoated claims either. The CO2 calculator tool could be improved though by allowing one to have more details in the questionnaire and in the results.

Thank you for this review, Alessandro! Would love to know what questions you feel like are missing from our carbon calculator, and I'll pass those along to our product team :)

Great concept and transparency especially compared to others claiming to do the same, but I think everyone interested in change also needs it to be easy and accessible, an app would go a long way.

I was guilt tripped to start an subscription, but I’m happy I was. It’s for a good cause. I would appreciate an app to easier follow the good impact Wren does.

As far as I can tell, Wren‘s website and services seem transparent and legit. Right after my sign-up, one of their founders contacted me for a quick video call; questions I asked during that conversation were answered sincerely and with great openness. Wren might just make a difference in the long run; at least I feel like they use my money for the best conceivable purposes. The only question I’m still debating for myself is whether this kind of „indulgence trade-off“ could backfire and eventually lead to people not changing their lives, thinking they „paid for their pollution“ after all. The only way to achieve climate neutrality is by reducing our footprints, and especially those of giant impactors at that. The idea of „individual responsibility“ in the area of climate change is neat, but also historically tainted by having been developed by oil companies as a lobbying & marketing strategy (just google „carbon footprint BP“). So advocating for bigger policy changes might just be the key lever in Wren‘s toolkit.
