After hiring them, someone turned of WP Activity Log, installed a File Manager, turned off our payment processor, and installed their own to redirect funds to a PayPal account that they created to steal from us. I reported this to them and stopped work for a month while I hired a security company to run scans. Not certain if it was someone they subcontracted to or not, I restarted work but this time only them having access and not any other developer, having reset all passwords and so forth. Good couple months, albeit they are always slow. Now, I had to give them access to the site again (they were working on a staging site) for a problem and within 24 hours the same thing started to happen again: I see our payment processor was deactivated, WP Activity was turned off, and a File Manager was installed apparently beginning the process of setting up theft again. I am done this time. Could only have been them, or someone they hired.

Development manager is not intuitive nor is the dev team. Success manager was always available to chat, but the results were very poor. Not to be used for any design related functionality. May be best for very simple updates to WP sites, but our need was more robust than I think they are capable of managing. Pushed our launch date on 2 occasions as a result of this engagement.

I believe that I have been scammed. My website experienced downtime and the individual responsible has deleted my access. Additionally, they are demanding more money ($) from me.

I didn't have a good experience w/ WP Tangerine. They led me to believe I'd have a native English speaking project manager that was a champlion for my sites, but then it was an ESL person who really didn't understand or care about any of my sites. I spent half of the time teaching them how to use my project management software, and they ended up just installing, but not fully configuring, some plugins they were familiar with (that were expensive). It was a waste of money, and time, and my sites are a little worse off at this stage.

really poor customer service and a significant language barrier that i just couldn't overcome. Tasks that would normally take 15 minutes from brief to execution took 5 days to debate, and nothing got done

In the begginning the level of support was fine but over the next few months it has gradually declined to the point there doesn't seem to be anyone monotoring my site >>> apps were expiring with no alert >> essentially there was no one watching my site. They became less and less responsive with solutions to all those little things that go wrong from time to time. They set up phone calls but didn't call as scheduled and then insisted that they called and it went straight to email or no answer >> both not possible as I always have my phone within a few feet of me and I empty my voice mail box daily. They claimed they sent SMS texts which I have no record of having received. In short what started as pretty good is now utter crap and Im not sure what to do except seek another support firm. Or move to shopify >> shopify has their problems but nothing like I am experiencing with WP Tangerine. There is just no response at all at this point >> I pay my bills and I'm paying for a high level of support. I just don't know what to do to get them to simply do their job. So very very dissapointing.

Basically it's a scam, working philipines based people and deliver a fraction of what they promise, in a much longer time.

I wish I had read a review like this before joining. They do the bare minimum each day. A lot of time this email is something like "We will give an update over the weekend or on Monday." Then on Monday you will get "We would like to inform you that we are still currently fixing the issue" I would estimate you might get about 2 full hours time a week which is not cost effective. This includes their emails to you and then they will always make sure to reply within 24 hours - but right at the end of the 24 hours - and very rarely right away. Considering I worked out my year contract would be about $10 / hour thinking I could get 1 hour of work a day done, it's been very disappointing. Also it has made my progress super slow because I've paid for this so now I'm reluctant to pay someone else but someone else might do 20 hours of work in a week while these guys do 2-3 max. You also constantly get passed from person to person and they will sometimes misunderstand what the current project is. This company operates out of Philippines. Halfway through the contract and I wish I had just spent this much on a single dev I could deal with every day. UGH
