Lost over $20K with Worthy. Locked redemptions for years and provided very little updates. Felt strung along for years and then they finally declared them worthless. Unbelievable that they continue selling other bonds. The lack of transparency is appalling and they should expect legal action. One star is too generous of a rating.

WARNING - YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY IF YOU INVEST WITH WORTHY!! Save yourself the hassle and put your money to work somewhere else. I haven't been able to redeem my bonds in almost 3 years. I understand the risk involved but this company does not communicate with their investors as to what they are doing to try and get investors money back. Oh, and if you complain on their social media platforms, they will just delete it and block you. What do you have to hide Worthy?? You put more effort in getting new money coming in then to at least have the common courtesy to keep your investors informed. Whoever runs communications for this company should be fired!! They just assume the less they communicate with you, the better the chance that you'll just go away and assume your money is lost. I highly doubt anyone will respond to this review as they only care about positive reviews!!

Hello Israel. While the potential of loss is disappointing, the majority of all Worthy bonds have been repaid as promised. The small percentage of bonds that have not been repaid were from our earliest offerings, supporting businesses that were negatively impacted by COVID. We have never experienced any losses in our real estate-related offerings. Regarding social media, we are happy to reply to customers' questions, but when the same customer makes the same comment on every post, our typical public engagement becomes counterproductive. We offer better resources to support our customers, like our customer service email and the support portal on your dashboard. Thank you for sharing your concerns. We will be proactive in reaching out with any updates.

The majority of their offerings have failed resulting in investor losses. They won't declare them a total loss yet, so you can't even claim the losses on your taxes. These were supposed to be highly collateralized loans with contained risk, but apparently that was not actually the case. Mostly a pyramid scheme where investors cashing out early were OK. Luckily I only lost $8K because I cashed out almost everything 3 days before they froze redemptions!

The small percentage of bonds that have not been repaid to date were in our earliest bond offerings, supporting businesses that were negatively impacted by COVID. We have never had any losses in our real estate-related offerings. Please know that recovery efforts are underway on the remaining business loans, and in fact, just last week, we made additional disbursements to bondholders. Worthy has not declared a formal loss on these early bonds as we continue to work on the redemption of all outstanding obligations. All Worthy offerings are drafted by outside law firms, are reviewed and qualified for sale by the SEC, and require annual financial audits by third-party/independent auditors so they are compliant with all regulations. We can assure you that everything Worthy does is lawful and “by the book”. Thank you for sharing your concerns–we look forward to sharing news of the resolution of this liquidity.

Hello Andrew. As you know, the illiquid bonds were part of Worthy’s first offerings in 2018-2022; those bond sale proceeds backed loans to fund American small businesses, but the COVID pandemic significantly impacted the ability of some of those businesses to repay their loans to Worthy. While still working to recover funds from borrowers. Worthy is also pursuing a sale of unrelated assets to a third-party buyer to fund redemptions of outstanding bonds in the illiquid offerings. The SEC review of the sale is complete, so the process can now advance, but the duration will depend on financing, approvals, and other steps. Thank you for your continued patience.

The sold me junk bonds and any time I ask to get my money they tell me they're waiting to collect through various ways. Its bs and they know it. Don't invest with this company. They'll just keep your money.

Along with continuing to collect from the business borrowers who were impacted by the pandemic, Worthy is pursuing a sale of unrelated assets to a third-party buyer to fund redemptions of the remaining outstanding bonds. In fact, this past week, Worthy was able to make a disbursement to some of the affected bondholders from funds recovered from borrowers. If you haven't yet received a payment, it is only because we haven't reached your account, as all affected investors were queued based on factors such as the date they invested and the date they requested redemption of their bonds. We will notify you once your disbursement has been initiated; in the meantime, we only ask that you ensure your linked funding source is valid and up-to-date so that your payment can be sent seamlessly and efficiently once available.

I purchased bonds on Fri, Dec 20, 2019 as part of the Peer Capital 1 that hasn't been paid out and have been trying to get my money back for over 3 years. Worthy is the most UNWORTHY institution I have ever seen. Also, Poor communication. Also, can never speak to anyone over the phone.

Absolutely a pyramid scheme and I feel stupid for not realizing it until they stole $22k from me. Accepting new money at 7% interest but how many millions of dollars have they “frozen” now? I knew this wasn’t FDIC insured but I was unaware the risk of total loss is much higher than they disclosed. The money frozen now was invested in 2020 and I see the bad reviews here and across the internet started after that. My fault for not repeating my due diligence since the initial investment. Their fault for being a madoff level scheme except stealing from the little guy instead of rich celebrities.

To clarify, all offerings are drafted by outside law firms, rigorously reviewed and qualified for public sale by the SEC, and undergo annual financial audits by independent third-party auditors so we can assure you that everything Worthy does is lawful and “by the book”. The redemption pause you’re referring to affects earlier offerings that sold out years ago. Those portfolios were impacted by borrower defaults during and after the pandemic, leaving them without the liquidity to process redemptions as originally intended. These circumstances created the pause, not the use of new investor funds. Please understand also that funds have not been “stolen.” Your funds continue to accrue interest, which will be paid together with your principal once sufficient liquidity is restored. Worthy has entered into an agreement to sell unrelated assets to provide the capital needed to move redemptions forward; the sale has since cleared SEC review and is pending buyer action. The 7% bonds you refer to are associated with unrelated real estate offerings which have not experienced a single loan loss as those were not impacted by the pandemic. We understand how difficult it is to have funds tied up for this long, as many of our own employees and executives also have their savings invested in these paused offerings as well. Worthy remains committed to seeing the redemption process through and ensuring investors receive the full value of their holdings.

I lost $17,000 to this company. They have sent out occasional emails over the last few years saying that they are trying to recover the money, but it never materializes. Yes, they tell you not to invest unless you can afford to lose the money, and believe me, they mean it. Unless you want to lose all of the money you invest, don't invest with this company.
