I had a positive experience with this investment company, Worthy. What made it great was their commitment to shaping a better world through responsible finance. Their mission to prioritize Main Street over Wall Street resonated with me, and I appreciate their efforts to help individuals build a nest egg while supporting local communities. Worthy's inclusive approach, emphasizing that everyone is worthy of financial security, adds a personal touch to their services. Overall, their dedication to a noble mission sets them apart, making the investment experience both meaningful and financially rewarding.

While Worthy doesn't have a native smartphone app, their web app is incredibly easy to navigate, and buying bonds on Worthy is a no-brainer with the rates of return they offer. If you need a relatively secure alternative to your bank's savings account with a paltry interest rate, Worthy is the first place I'd put my money to grow over a longer period if you're not using it right away. Being able to withdraw without penalties or fees and get the money within a few days is amazing too. I've been kind of blown away by how easy and worthwhile it's been using it! Seriously, grow your savings with these guys. No regrets!

I've had a lot of good experiences with Worthy. I've been investing in their bonds on-and-off for many years now, and it's been an overall positive experience. The people who give Worthy bad press on here are by-and-large people who don't really understand how bonds work. Some of the onerous falls onto Worthy for not ensuring the investors are educated well enough to properly weigh the risks, but most of the fault is on the investor in question. Bonds are not risk-free. They usually don't follow the trend(s) of most stock indices (like the S&P 500), but sometimes they do. Bonds are a lot like stock, but instead of owning a piece of a company, when you buy a bond, you're essentially loaning out that money. Given the fact that Worthy's bonds are $10 each, and the fact that they diversify the money they receive from investors, it's VERY low risk. But again, they aren't risk-free. If a business defaults on a loan with Worthy, and investors who have money in that loan want to sell / liquidate, Worthy has to use money in their bankroll to pay the investor for their bond and interest. Being that they're a financial institution, they're required by law to keep a certain amount of actual cash on hand. So, if a large enough loan defaults, and enough investors want to pull their money out from that loan, Worthy has to wait for payments on other loans to roll in before they pay those investors back. As long as Worthy is still running, you'll get your money. And while you wait for payments to roll in, your invested capital is STILL EARNING INTEREST! No one should put money that they might need within the near future into an investment like stocks or capital bonds. Having to wait for over a year to be paid back is a pain, but that sometimes happens with capital bonds. The money you invest in capital bonds with should be money you won't need for a good while. That's just common financial-sense. Do your research. Like Warren Buffet says, don't invest in anything you don't fully understand. As a company, Worthy is great. Don't confuse the illiquidity of bonds with the quality of the company. One small caveat to my review of Worthy: their iOS app (which is currently under re-development) needs some serious upgrades. There are also some small issues I've had with not receiving notifications when a bond is pending approval. Also, they are not backed by the FDIC like I originally thought. Which means you are not guaranteed to get your money back if the company goes backrupt.

We were victims of bank fraud and the crook tried to open an account with Worthy Bonds. If it wasn't for the attention to detail - we would've lost our money. Mary was on top of things and spotted the suspicious behavior and was able to stop the fraud. We are thankful so thankful to Mary and Worthy Bonds. Our bank was not able to do the same.
