Don't do it! Workday is seriously NOTHING but issues on the managerial side. The company I work for starting using Workday services about a year ago and everything is now a problem ESPECIALLY with hiring and new accounts. Problems you didn't have with one new hire suddenly arise with the next one. For example, once the candidate is hired, it will change their login information and they can no longer get into Workday without this new password and login. Well it's a default password and the login ID is their new employee ID. Workday loves to say their new login isn't valid at all and they aren't allowed to login. Oh, the best part is that it locks you out then and you have to make a million phone calls to get back into your account! NO email support, no chat support. Navigation is a nightmare. It's like Workday strives to make everything as difficult as possible. Need help with your account and have to submit a Workday ticket? LOL good luck getting any sort of response. If they do respond it's a good 2 weeks (at least) before you get anything. They are horrible to deal with, confusing, and extremely complicated. Don't subject your employees to this. Literally the only good thing about it is the way you can view your pay stubs. That's about it.

Absolutely awful! The process to follow to perform simple tasks is horrific. I have used a number of other people management tools and this one is by far the worst. It takes longer to perform the documentation of the task than it does to actually do the task. Configuration for user experience is non-existent. This is a real productivity killer. I absolutely dread it when I need to submit a position change or open a people requisition. Using a spreadsheet makes more sense than using Workday.

For occasional users who have to encounter the considerable learning curve to do simple tasks, this is a productivity-killing platform. I teach at a university in Boston and wasted much of my day wrangling with this awful system, which was foisted upon us during the pandemic. Just another offloading of administrative tasks that would be more effectively done in a consolidated manner, rather than everyone having to become amateur payroll & budget specialists to navigate this non-intuitive, clunky, overloaded site.

If negative stars were possible... Workday is the biggest headache I've encountered at my job. I was fairly new and had only used the old system for one hiring season. We've been using workday for 3 years now and I still prefer the old system. It is anything BUT user friendly. It's not intuitive, there are a million clicks and steps to do a simple task. Whoever decided this was a good switch must have been out of their own minds.

If a job uses workday to hire I won't use it. Dreadful platform.

Tried to apply for job via the Workday platform… 1: When it tried to populate the fields with information from an uploaded CV or my LinkedIn profile it failed spectacularly, leaving me having to delete the gibberish that it had pulled across and type it all in manually. 2: In the "Education" section it referred to everything as a "degree" and formatted the fields accordingly, so I couldn’t input relevant industry related qualifications and training that are more recent and far more relevant. 3: Also in the "Education" section it only let me choose subject areas starting with the letters "A" to “D” so I couldn't choose, for example, “User Experience” because it didn't go as far as "U" and told me there was no result if I typed it into the search box instead. 4: After fighting a losing battle trying to make creative use of the narrow fields to include all the relevant information it timed out on me. This was in the last week. I had a similar experience trying to apply for a job via this platform a number of years ago, so it hasn’t changed at all since. Clearly they don’t tailor it to suit different countries or employ any kind of user testing or feedback to inform the platform’s improvement and development. It reflects very poorly on the companies that use it and its presence on a prospective employer’s recruiting platform should probably be taken as a red flag that the company you're thinking of applying to neither knows nor cares what complete mess is right under its nose.

this is the worst hiring platform in the entire world. it is literally worse than cancer. every single time you need to make a new account and none of the fields can be autofilled it forces irrelevant questions or information already on a resume. Stop using this product, literally any other provider does not do this. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HAVE SOMEONE WHO WORKS AT YOUR COMPANY TRIAL USE THIS SOFTWARE AND COMPARE IT WITH ANY OTHER PLATFORM. IT IS WORSE THAN CANCER AND CAUSES APPLICANTS TO BLACKLIST YOUR COMPANY OR NOT APPLY AT ALL.
