How about looking at a user standpoint and go apply to jobs, oh wait, you have to make a user just about every time. Companies should never use this company. Everybody applying for jobs hates workday. Worst idea for saving money.

Expense reports are a pain to complete. If anything at all goes wrong in the process, you have to begin the WHOLE approval process from the beginning. Administration claims only pdf files are acceptable by the system for attachments. If so, why does it accept odf, doc, docx, jpg, etc.?

A complete load of garbage and if you run a company you should stay well clear. Workday might look good when it is being sold as a solution but it is horrific from a candidate perspective and puts people off even bothering. It is slow, cumbersome, confused and makes you set up a new account for every application. It is a terrible advert for any company.

Seit mehreren Jahren arbeite ich in verschiedenen Unternehmen mit unterschiedlichen Kulturen mit Workday. Auch überdurchschnittlich technikaffine und junge KollegInnen haben alle die gleiche schlechte Erfahrung gemacht. Ein Tool sollte den Anwendern und Firmen helfen, Prozesse zu verschlanken, vereinfachen, kostengünstiger zu fahren etc. Das ist hier definitiv nicht der Fall. Hier dient jeder User dem System. Was für ein wahnsinniger uneffektiver Aufbau. Reporting und Kontrolle, muss sein, leider, aber mit Workday fällt sehr viel Zeit für die eigentliche Arbeit aus. Das fehlt den Unternehmen in der Effektivität und Produktivität bei den Nutzern. Nicht intuitiv, langsam, schlechte zu bedienen. Das findet sich in keiner Kostenstelle wieder. Finger weg von Workday.

Receiving emails at 2am is absolutely ridiculous

During my time applying for jobs I actively tried to avoid anyone who used the workday software. It is a pile of garbage, when uploading your resume it has not gotten the dates right, the experience right, or anything else for that matter. I have to go back and edit everything so putting in my resume is completely useless at this point. Also, it's 2023 why is there not a "single pane of glass" for workday customers who are applying for jobs so I can see all the jobs I've applied to in workday, instead you have to CREATE AND ACCOUNT EVERYTIME. Please if anyone reads this an runs a company or has any say in their company, absolutely do not use workday.

What a shitshow! The year is 2023 and we still have to suffer software like this. Thankfully it is not for doing anything crucial. But even fails at the simple, rudimentary HR tasks. Poor at managing documents, even poorer at having even a remotely decent UI, cancerous workflows even for the simplest things. Overall the UX is in the same category as death-by-1000-papercuts. Hard to believe companies actually pay for such trash.

Sadly I have to use this frequently at work and it is staggeringly awful. It gets everything wrong, even the basics. Show me who in my team or company has booked holiday this month. Can't do that. Look at my or my teams goals for this month. Nope no easy way to do that. Check how many days holiday I have left this year. Nope, can't do that. When it throws an error, (which is a lot because it can't validate in real time) you have click the error, read the message, hunt for where on the page it lies, correct it, wait, do it again and again. When I was recruiting I asked the HR team why they don't use Workday, their response was "it's absolutely terrible for recruitment" (so we pay for another application to do that!) UI and UX are shocking. How any company can get away with charging this much money for such a pile of garbage is amazing.
