Don’t believe the negative reviews!
I’ve had the pleasure of working at Workada since May, and though there have been bumps in the road, it’s been a great experience due to the communication and feedback alone. Factor in being paid thrice weekly, consistent work availability and perpetual training, it’s obvious that this company stands out among the competition. Workada has a team of Trust and Safety experts, who have taken a meticulously deep dive into the metrics and were able to identify with 100% certainty, the contributors who were perpetually breaking rules in some capacity, and cleaned house. In other words, anyone offboarded is WELL AWARE of what they did wrong. I‘m a PL, and a lot of us felt blindsided too when we lost contributors, until we were presented with an explanation of the evidence that was found. Additionally, no one is FORCED to participate in meetings or do quizzes. That’s just a flat out lie. As PL’s we are very cautious about not mandating meetings anything due to contractor status, instead just stressing the importance. I wish I could mandate meetings and quizzes! They help with professional development tremendously! Workada also makes it VERY CLEAR upon onboarding, that Slack communication is imperative for success, as things change in AI faster than the weather, so being up to speed on all changes is a necessity. Sure contributors can choose to not check Slack, but it’s imprudent and counterproductive, for obvious reasons. Also, the company is paying for Slack use, so why wouldn’t one check Slack? Anyone complaining about training pay - go find other platforms that pay at all for training/onboarding, I’ll wait. There is only one I can think of, (and I’ve worked them all), and that platform has a host of issues that Workada wouldn’t have on its worst day. Finally, they actually care. Scammers target start up companies like this knowing that it will take a minute for the company to catch up to their shenanigans, and that’s exactly what happened here. Workada didn’t offboard based on speculation or likelihood, the T&S team took the time to prove wrongdoing before anyone was let go - and they cared enough to make sure of that. Like I said - don’t believe the negative hype! Workada is a solid company with real human beings that care about the employees who do the right thing!
