They were great to deal with in every respect. After I bought the unit I noticed that one of the big box stores had the same unit for a few hundred dollars less. When I contacted Wood Splitter Outlet, they looked at the advertised price and more or less gave me a refund for the difference from what I paid. They did the same when I noticed the replacement blades on sale from yet another company. They stand by their prices and are very responsive. Also, the chipper arrived in only a few weeks after I ordered it. I would definitely buy from them again as their customer service is top notch!

All aspects of transaction were good, except one - UPS freight is the only delivery option. UPS delivery is clearly stated as curbside, which means where your driveway meets the street. You need to a way to move a 450 lb. crate. The chipper itself is powerful, with heavy duty construction. The price was good and well worth spending extra - it does the job as advertised.

Yeah, we hear ya. LTL delivery to a residence can be a real bear. We do work hard to try and make the process as painless as possible by offering liftgate delivery included in the price, but still, not quite as convenient as small parcel delivery for sure.

just very poor experience all they way around
Not the greatest experience. Was shipped later than expected . So waited an extra week . Then when it finally arrived was missing a vital hose for operation. Then instead of overnighting the hose I waited another week. And It was shipped with hydro fluid in hoses that when uncrated leaked all over my pavers on driveway.. and the kicker is I thought I was buying a splitter with an 8 hp engine and showed up with 7hp
So basically poor experience all the way around...Ryan was somewhat helpful but I as the customer was the one calling to figure what was going on.. poor way to run a business . If I ran my restaurant how they conduct business I would not have stayed in business very long...such an ordeal I haven't even used it yet just because of the long drawn out bad experience all the way around...

I know this was a tough experience overall, but I'd like to think both we and Boss worked to make it right. We didn't ship later than expected, we shipped within the committed window and the shipment was slowed by the Independence Day holiday. We even sent you a free cover to make up for these issues to attempt to make it right. We also agreed to overnight you the missing part because I felt bad.
We did overnight you the part. In this comedy of errors, it got misrouted by FedEx to make matters worse. I'm truly sorry about that.
As we discussed that the horsepower of the specific engine isn't relevant, but the overall force output of the splitter. The incorrect HP was a typo. When we first spoke, we talked about how much force you would need and you decided that 30 tons was what you wanted and needed. It had nothing to do with horsepower. Horsepower is part of the force equation, not the only factor. You bought a 30-ton splitter, not a 7 or 8 hp engine.
I'm not sure what you mean by you were calling to figure out what was going on? I managed the entire process for you with Boss to get you the missing part. Typically, these are warranty issues, but I was happy to help make it right.
I do hope you get a ton of great use out of your splitter now that you have the part. We do appreciate your business and, again, I'm sorry about the overall mess of an experience.

The service from WSO was five star…
The service from WSO was five star excellent but the issue we had with the oil seal was the engine manufacturers issue. I elected to not press the issue any further as our repair was satisfactory and I have too much on my plate now but the machine works fantastic and performs exactly as described.
