Would not recommend
I found that while this was not a horrible experience, I could not recommend your firm for the following reasons: When I initially called your firm to inquire about these services, the person I spoke with told me that what separates you from others is that at the end of the process your firm ensures that the orders are carried out while others may not. Well the attorney working with me informed me recently that the county clerk and Texas DPS carry out the enforcement. So this is a misrepresentation at best. Secondly, it took a long time to get the court dates arranged because your firm never followed up on the emails sent out to the county clerk. It was two full months before you made contact with them and then only with my help. I repeatedly was told that it was the county clerk from Hidalgo County who was not responding and delaying the process. I was even told that you have had a history of "problems" with them. So I took a day off from work and arranged an appointment with her. While in her office, she actually turned her computer monitor so I could see it and showed me that your firm had never sent an email. We then called from her office and spoke with Ms. Stein and it turned out that you were sending the emails to the wrong email address. This could have been remedied with a simple phone call on your behalf and I had already been told by Ms. Stein that she had called them repeatedly. This simply could not have been true. Additionally, when the court date was set for the misdemeanor, I was told that I did not need to show up as you would have a representative taking care of it. I decided to take a day off from work to ensure there were no problems. Your attorney representing the case never showed up. I took care of it myself and sent the court order to Ms. Stein. I'm glad that I was there. Afterward, the initial felony court date was rescheduled when I showed up because the DAs office had information on the wrong person. So I had to take two days off from work for this... the initial hearing and the follow up. This could have been taken care of with simple communication. Lastly, it took too long to get the court order for the felony. I received the misdemeanor order within an hour after the hearing but had to wait a month to receive the felony order. I would have waited for it at the court again but the attorney representing your firm told me not to. I called and I was told by Ms. Stein that I would get it in a few days but weeks later I had nothing. When I called to leave a message for Ms. Stein after nearly a month, the young man answering the phone immediately blamed the county clerk for the delay which I felt was unprofessional. There was no need. The response should have been... I'm sorry for the delay and we will take care of it as soon as possible. I wasn't being unreasonable. I just called to leave a message. During the initial consult over the phone, I was told that the process would take 2-3 months for the court process and another 2-3 months for the enforcement. It took over 7 months just for the court process and I waited another 2-3 on enforcement. While this may seem reasonable, I can just imagine the time it would have taken if I had not been as diligent in my efforts to resolve all of the issues by following up myself. Overall, this was a poor experience.
