mattress is ok but the platform bed violently collapsed after a year

I’ve had the Luxury Firm WinkBed King for about 7 years total — and honestly, it’s been a huge disappointment. The first mattress I had lasted only 2 years before it started sagging badly and giving me serious back pain. What made it even worse was trying to deal with their warranty process. It took me nearly 10 months of back and forth just to finally get a replacement mattress. Unfortunately, the replacement wasn’t any better. I kept that one for about 4 more years, hoping it would hold up — but nope. Same issues. Super uncomfortable, and the sagging came back again. What’s frustrating is they market this mattress as being great for “heavier people.” I’m 6’ tall and around 270 lbs, and I can confidently say this bed is not designed with people like me in mind. I just saw that this mattress is being listed as a “2025 Best Mattress for Back Pain” — which is kind of ironic, because it definitely caused me more back pain than anything else I’ve ever slept on. I spent over $1,000 thinking I was investing in quality, but I’ve slept better on $400 mattresses from the swap meet. Unfortunately, I don’t have the budget right now to buy a new mattress, so I’m stuck with this one. Also… kinda sketchy that you can’t leave reviews on their website. All I see are glowing 5-star ratings, which feels a little too good to be true. I wish I had found honest third-party reviews like this one before I spent my money. Hopefully this helps someone avoid the mistake I made.

This review is more about the return policy than the mattress. My mattress was delivered and I slept on it for just over 30 nights. I felt it was to firm so I filled out the request for a refund. Sleep on our mattress for 120 nights. Wink Beds policy states "If you don't get the best sleep of your life, we’ll pick up and refund you 100%. " They also mention a no hassle return or exchange. Well I feel very hassled. I had to request a refund 3 times before they would commit to picking up the mattress, then they contact me and tell me I have to dispose of the mattress myself, with 3 options all of which are a hassle for me and then they will decide if a refund is warranted. AND I have 30 days to complete this, or no refund. So I had to assume the responsibility of disposal of the mattress they promised to up. It was a major hassle! So nearly 3 weeks after I first requested a refund, it does finally happen. I feel lied to and used. That's terrible customer service I don't care how good the mattress is, the company treats their customers like crap if that customer holds them to their promises.

I requested to cancel my bed order and was told they had cancelled it but then got notification that my bed had shipped. They obviously do not have ethical business practices.

I bought the firmest mattress that WinkBed offered in 2021. Despite the price, I chose WinkBed because of the reviews and I gave a great review myself shortly after I purchased. Since early 2024 I wake up with backpain because the firmness is gone. The queen-sized mattress that I (5' 6", 170 lbs.) purchased has lost its firmness. My previous lesser-priced mattress lasted 15 years. People should give reviews of their mattresses after they've had a chance to break them in so people will know that the happiness from their purchase is very short-lived. These mattresses are very expensive, and customers feel they are worth it AS LONG AS the QUALITY is actually what they claim it to be. Had I known, I'd be back at the point I was before I purchased the WinkBed mattress, I would have gone down the street and bought something much cheaper.

I truly wanted to love this mattress. My husband and I spent weeks researching and finally chose WinkBeds because of the glowing promises: “luxury feel,” “ultra firm support,” and most importantly a 120-night risk-free trial with a full refund if not satisfied. What we received was something completely different. The “firm” mattress turned out to be soft and unstable I can feel every movement when my husband shifts or leans on one elbow. No motion isolation, no true support. We knew within days it was not a match for us. So we requested a return only to be told we must suffer through 30 nights before they’d even consider honoring their “trial.” This “requirement” was buried in small print at the bottom of the website. Nowhere during the purchase flow did it clearly say “You MUST wait 30 nights.” I felt deceived, not informed. We are now stuck with a $1600 mattress that hurts our backs and prevents restful sleep and have to wait until May 5 just to start the return process. Meanwhile, we’re unable to buy another mattress, and our health and peace of mind suffer. WinkBeds might build a decent mattress for some but their policies are misleading and borderline predatory. A trial is not a trial if it forces customers to endure discomfort for a full month before allowing a return. That’s not kindness, that’s coercion. I will be reporting this to consumer protection platforms and encouraging others to read every single footnote before purchasing. We expected integrity. What we got was marketing fluff and fine print traps. Shame on them.

Purchased a Wink Bed Queen size mattress in 2021 for my guest room.it was used a few times a year until November of 2024 when we retired and moved. It became our full time mattress. The mattress sinks in the middle. My husband and myself wake up with back pain. I have reached out to support for their no hassle warranty. I would like a replacement mattress as this one has failed. They only replace if you can prove via photographs that the mattress has sunk in1.5 inches. Due to the tufting on the pillow top, this is impossible.

Based on reviews we purchased a King luxury firm plus. We purchase the bed, April 2024. Almost immediately each side of the bed, my husbands side and my side started to slant downward, leaving this big hump in the middle. We did what was suggested, and we have rotated the mattress over at least every two months since we’ve had it, I complained to winkbed and I sent photos. It has sunken down at 1.25 inches and they said it needed to be 1.5 for a refund or replacement. They said the bed was settling in nicely. This bed has caused my husband and I major back problems, we had to put a topper and then a smaller topper on top of that which has not helped at all. The bed continues to sink on both his side and my side, and this is the first time in 20 years that I’ve even encountered any problems with any mattress we’ve owned and never have we experienced the hump in the middle or any slanting of any mattress we have previously purchased. We had the sleep number before, never had any problems. I wanted to try something different. I thought that this bed would be perfect and it’s been nothing but a nightmare. I have not had a good night sleep. My husband and I are taking turns sleeping in our guest bedroom on that bed because it’s more comfortable and it’s much older than our bed now, unfortunately, it’s just a full size mattress. I’m going to be sending photos again at this point. I believe it’s down to one and a half inches on either side, which is a requirement for a refund. I do not recommend this bed. Unfortunately I probably should’ve looked deeper. I trusted the reviews. It may work for some. It does not work for me and it does not work for my husband and it continues to cause poor sleep and a lot of back and hip problems for us. We purchased plus because my husband is a bigger guy at 250lbs. I definitely do not recommend and customer service is absolutely no help at all. They want to continue to tell me the bed is just settling and no it is not. It’s exactly what I’m saying it is and we sent pictures to prove that it was sinking already. It is probably even pass one and a half inches sunk on the right and left side by now. The center of the beds humo is noticeable even when bed is made. We will continue to try to get a refund at this point. For the money we paid for the mattress And frame we should not be experiencing these types of problems from a bed that’s just a year old. Very poorly made.
