Wine order was held for over a weekend. Then it was kept in un-temperature controlled conditions for two days in 90 degree+ weather. Loaded on a truck at 7:00 a.m. and driven in 95 degree weather until 8:00 p. m. delivery. Wine is un-drinkable.

I was looking for a vintage 1941 bottle of wine, and winedeals appeared in the search results. I purchased two bottles for an 80th birthday party. Upon arrival, the bottles were vintage 2018, and not 1941. The recipient, expecting vintage 1941, called winedeals to see if there was an error, and winedeals stated they do not carry wine as old as 1941, even though the wine description I saw on the web site had 1941. So much for an 80 year old bottle of wine for an 80th birthday party. Disappointed.

Dear Jim, We're very sorry about your experience on our site. In looking into this, it looks like a technical glitch with our software caused the wine to be mis-labeled on our website as a 1941 vintage (our program took the first two numbers of the '414' in the wine's name and mistook that as 1941 vintage). We usually catch things like this when they happen, but in this case we didn't and we're very sorry for the trouble it caused you. Sadly to say, the wine boiled over in shipment due to the heat. Winedeals.com is working with me on returning the bottles.

We're sorry this happened with your shipment. Our wine staff constantly monitors forecasts along delivery routes for all of our shipments to avoid weather damage on the wines we send, but forecasts often change and aren't 100% reliable. Every now and then, a wine package will be damaged by extreme temperatures in transit, and it seems that happened here. Generally, though, we do our best to hold shipments until it's safe to ship.

They don’t notify you when the order is ready for pickup; then they scold you for not having your order number, not knowing there is designated curbside parking (which is actually not at the curb but in the main parking lot), not knowing what parking space number you are in, and making them look up your order by last name. I feel I’ve really let them down as a customer.

We're sorry you had a bad experience with our curbside pickup, Mark. We do send notifications when an order is ready for pickup, though it's possible the email didn't get through for whatever reason. Regardless, it's unacceptable that someone from our staff made you feel bad for not having all the information ready when you arrived to pick up your order. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, and we'll do better next time.
