Winebid has been a wonderful experience for me. I have found many of my favorite producers at prices much lower than retail (including buyers premium & shipping). Added bonus that I get things with 5+ years of age on them, which i very much enjoy! I see lots of haters here who prob don't understand how auctions work. It's not nearly as complex or intimidating as people make it out to be. Shipping does cost extra, but once you get 6 bottles of more, it's quite reasonable.

Honestly, WineBid has been solid for finding older vintages I can’t get locally. The site feels a bit dated, and filtering through 10,000+ lots can be tricky, but the inventory is legit. I’ve snagged some great older cabernets that arrived in good condition. Shipping isn't cheap, but the packaging is secure, so I’ve never had a broken bottle. It’s definitely addictive checking the auctions on Sunday nights, so just watch your budget.

WineBid is a great place to go when you are looking for unique vintage wines that won't break the bank (you can buy expensive wines too!) I find really cool wines with age that I can't find elsewhere on WineBid. I recommend to anyone looking for unique, fun wines! Also, a great place to purchase wines when studying for WSET!

Not sure what it is with all the hate. For most of the bottles I buy, it's a great steal. Their customer service is so on point and helpful with everything. I had an issue with a shipment and they fixed it in under an hour. I don't buy crazy expensive bottles but generally find great deals. At least the website is upfront with the premium, most places will just put it into the price and not actually tell you. Only your first bid they have a pre-authorization and the charges were dropped after I won. It is not a big deal. Overall it is a great website, with some awesome deals, and amazing customer service.

I buy from winebid.com very often,maybe every week and expensive wines. My concern is the counterfeit wines. I'm not saying that I have noticed anything wrong,but I'm concerned how good and how carefully their specialists are looking at the wines. How do they make sure that the wine are legit? Other than this concern,I'm happy with winebid..

I have been buying from Winebid.com since 1999 and have bought approximately 100 bottles, all for investment. Excellent selection and for the most part good prices. My only suggestion to those who want to bid is to actually check what the average auction prices are to get a true sense of what real pricing is. I also utilize Pricing data © Liv-ex. I love the filters and the pictures and descriptions have been spot on compared to what I receive. One more thing, when I review all of my past purchases the buy prices are only listed from about 2007 and on. I was told that there was a data migration and that there was a "cutoff" point. I work in IT (software development) and they could have archived the data under a HIST table. Unfortunately I did not track my BUY prices and cannot get a true pic of the % change. Keep up the good work!!!

I have been buying a lot from them for over a year already, 99% of the bottles have arrived in perfect conditions and as described. I think they have amazing capabilities and features like, high resolution photos for each bottle, accurate descriptions, and professional scores with notes, value and sales prices history. You can sort your searches by scores, popularity, do a price range, country, regions, style, you named it. But what I’m more impress with is their costumer services. I have interacted with a couple of people there and they always find the way to help, my favorite contact is Debbie, so far there has been NOTHING that she can’t fix, she has always made it right even in the most strangest situation created by myself (errors).

It’s a great experience when you consider you can find wine on this site that you can’t find anywhere else or at stupid prices I only buy wine that I can’t find anywhere else and yes you can Lose on a last second Sunday night bid , you can also win the same way. They now have overtime bidding which allows you to up your bid after the close of the auction. . Shipping has been prompt and reasonable.I have bought many bottles for substantially less than if you bought it from a winery or at retail. Look at prices on wine.com and compare to this site. It’s not retail, it’s an auction. You lose some you win some. The enjoyable part is when you get a great bottle or a hard to find wine at a discounted price. 17% is their fee. Business needs to make money and that’s part of it. Calculate that into your bidding decision. I bought a Schrader RBS for $100 less than wine.com. I was thrilled when I won. I have lost several hard to find wines on the last second bid. It’s frustrating but you can also bid up to an amount your are comfortable spending. If it’s beyond your limit then kudos to the person that wanted that wine. Overall a good experience and really enjoyable to win a hard to find bottle.
