I have purchased numerous (360+) bottles over the past 6 years and only one time was there an issue - a mix up in a vintage date on two bottles - which WB fully refunded my $$ and paid shipping to return the bottles. I cannot understand the reviews of some folks here-understand what you are buying and do your product/price research - yes the 15%/17% is high however a buyer needs to (or should) figure that into their purchase decisions - and even factoring this in there are some very good deals to be had for the buyer who does their research. Shipping... understand what it costs to ship from their location - I have never found their charges to be out of line with other internet wine sales operation I buy from... Corkage - unfortunately a fact of life... while I have most certainly not consumed every bottle I have purchased from WB, I have found only 2 bottles be corked... WB has no control over this issue - nor, from my experience, does any other internet seller, and none that I have found offer a refund on corked wines( now your local wine merchant may be different because they can return the bottle to the distributor and thus will replace a corked bottle). I am a happy customer...

Straight up auction house that has a bevy of different producers and vintages, from many of the top winemakers and wine producers in the world. The commission / fees are actually lower than other wine auction houses - compare their commissions to the "big boy" auction houses, and Winebid is lower. I would recommend Winebid to anyone interested in fine wine at a fair or bargain price.

I have been purchasing wine using Winebid.com auctions since February 2015 and have since gathered about 14 bottles. Last week, I had six of the bottles released to me. I have consumed five of the bottles and not a single one was flawed. They were all in excellent condition and were exactly as I hoped they would be. The average age of the 5 bottles was 19 years, with the oldest being 25yrs. They were ALL good! It is true that many of the auctions opening bids are high relative to purchase prices from other retailers, but this is easily checked, using other websites. If you think the price is high, don't bid on it. How hard is that to figure out????? At any rate, my experience with customer service has been wonderful and the team there has been effective at accommodating all of my requests. I am confused by others' posts here. One person was very upset that he didn't receive his wine when he wanted it, because he didn't understand that he was participating in an auction. The world must be a very frustrating place to live for someone so ignorant!

I saw a few negative reviews that did not make sense and wanted to voice my support for winebid. I order multiple bottles a month. These are hard to find, or strict allocation wines. They do a great job of presenting them for sale. I have picked up from their facility in napa and they have had great customer service plus I can vouch for the cooling system cause that place is cold in the warehouse! If your looking for the best deals go to Bevmo but you won't find most of winebids offererings there. Two thumbs up from me, keep up the good work.

I needed a nice bottle of French wine for a get together. Found what I was looking for on WineBid and impressed my friends with a great, hard to find Burgundy.
