They misdiagnosed my dog with a G.I. issue when he was having internal bleeding. When he continued to get worse, I called the local emergency vet (about three hours later). they were immediately concerned by the same symptoms that I told the vet Tech on my chat and told me to come in immediately and triaged him as stat. My dog was brought to emergency hospital and died. I worry he was suffering from this delay of care. I try not to hold blame and it might not have changed prognosis however they were given the same symptoms as the vet tech from our emergency medicine clinic and they were not nearly as concerned as they should have been. And he could have had sooner care if the vet tech didn’t say - follow up with your primary care vet if not better in 24 hours, start a bland diet, no need for ER. I told them my dog’s age, that he had pale gums and lethargy and that he had woken me up panting. Now- They have continued to send me emails for a review and asking for feedback over and over. I did respond to them one time and they sent me a despondent poem. Now they continue to ask me again and again for reviews and I’d really rather not have a reminder. So here’s my review.

We are deeply sorry for the loss of your dog. What you experienced is heartbreaking, and we recognize how difficult it is to revisit those moments—especially when questions remain about whether anything could have been done differently. Based on the information shared during your chat, our team provided guidance aligned with what could be assessed remotely, including signs to monitor and when to seek urgent or emergency care. We are not able to diagnose or perform hands-on examinations through chat, but we aim to help pet owners make informed decisions about next steps. Situations can change quickly, that's why we always provide in-depth instructions on how to intervene when things change or worsen. We never want a pet to experience delayed care when emergency attention is needed. We are grateful that you sought emergency care when his condition changed, and we are so sorry that the outcome was not what anyone would have hoped for. Situations like this are incredibly difficult, and we recognize how important timely care is in rapidly evolving conditions. We are reviewing this interaction internally as part of our quality and case review process to better understand what occurred and where we can improve. Your feedback is important in helping us strengthen how we identify and escalate higher-risk cases. We also sincerely apologize for the repeated outreach after your loss. That is not the experience we want for any pet parent, and we will ensure you are removed from further communications. If you are open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly to listen and learn from your experience. Again, we are truly sorry for your loss and appreciate you sharing your experience.
