As a marketplace, Whimstay partners with hosts who manage their properties directly, including maintenance, amenities, and refund decisions. While we escalated your concerns and advocated on your behalf, the host determined that no further refunds would be issued. We recognize that this is not the resolution you were hoping for and that the delays in repairs impacted your experience which is why we issued the credit directly from us at Whimstay. We’ve shared your concerns with the host’s leadership team to reinforce the importance of proactive communication and timely resolutions. Additionally, we've made recent improvements to make reviews more visible to help inform travelers about specific properties and hosts. Thank you for leaving your feedback. As we mentioned in our response to you via email, if a host collected a security deposit, they'll will need to be the one to issue the refund. We emailed you with the contact information and an offer to assist with contacting them but we didn't hear back from you. Please contact us directly and we'll be happy to continue helping!

Hi Kirk, We understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with Wi-Fi issues during your stay, especially when relying on it for work. As a booking marketplace, Whimstay partners with hosts who manage their properties directly, including Wi-Fi and maintenance concerns. While we worked to escalate your concerns and advocate on your behalf after your stay, refund approvals are determined by the host. In this case, we were able to work with the host to get an approved $100 refund, which you received. We also provided a credit from us to assist in the future as well.

While we facilitated communication and advocated on your behalf, the host needed to approve the refund. We understand that the partial refund issued based on the host’s resolution did not fully meet your expectations.
