When I originally purchased my house three years ago, the finance piece was an absolute nightmare. I was working with a banker and mortgage officer who collectively were never on the same page, had extremely poor communication skills, and did little to assist me through the financing process. Because of this, I was extremely gunshy to refinance, but I knew the rates were too good to pass up so I gave it a try.
