WeRecoverData.comReviews of werecoverdata.com

When you Google they say that they offer services in the EU. They do not, but do list it on their website. They also say they have 5 star rating, based on 263 reviews on their website but independent review sites tell a whole different story. Don't fall for companies like this.

No REAL locations, only google maps directions to third party workers, who do not handle anything but shipping orders. Horrible service, horrible business.

Ghost offices. When i went there, there was nobody of WRD. And it was just an empty office space... Ghost businesses are so annoying. No certified profesional data recovery specialists and it was as quiet as space... I feel like its a scam. Also i dont know where the official office/support for this business is.

nice group of scammers

Appears to be a scam. I filled in all the required details and asked for a quote. The email address i used included +WRD which hasn't been used elsewhere. I never received the quote but I was contacted by another Data recovery company who emailed me using the +WRD email address I created.

Sounds like a scat!

I encountered WeRecoverData after looking for a data recovery service for my two 1 TB RAID 0 drives. I was firstly advised “The first step is to have our engineers examine the RAID in order to determine the steps required to complete a successful recovery, the time frame needed and the cost. This evaluation is free and without obligation,” yet was charged $95 for “SSD Evaluation Fee” (possibly what they called a diagnostic fee) before even sending the drives. I chose to send the drives to their Orlando location, two hours away, but when I asked about their offer for a free shipping label they sent me a Fedex label for Miami. When I asked about this, they said the Orlando location was just a forwarding location and the lab itself is located in Miami. At Fedex, I paid $10 to have the item wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed proper. A few days later, they quoted $2400+ for recovery. I declined. They said it would be $37 to send the drives back through USPS Ground Advantage. When I received the drives, they were in a thin bubble mailer with a generic ‘Fragile’ sticker on it. Overall, I was completely dissatisfied with such service. Personally, I also found their customer service lacking in warmth and their written documents geared towards throwing off less-technical clients. I went with a competitor who quoted $700 all inclusive and they were successful.

COMPLETE SCAM!!!!!! firstly, they are NOT local. they take your device, and ship it across the country. on your dollar. i was expecting a 200-300$ recovery, as i was just looking to get a few images and a project file back (honestly i would have just been fine with the images) thats what the website said, and what the man on the phone told me. but after paying the 100$ fee just to get a quote, they informed me after weeks that it would cost nearly 3000$ just to recover around 1gb or less of data. they gave me zero specifics as to why it would cost this much. what the recovery process would even be, how it would affect my device or what they'd do to it. they say the 100$ fee will be refunded if they can't recover your data (100% false since i'm out 200$ with none of my data back) i asked the receptionist at their drop-off location several specific questions. like cost estimates (again, around 300 she said) and if i'd be refunded my money if the quote was too much. she told me yes, i'd be given my money back. not only was not given my money back, they charged me another 100$ to ship my drive back. basically holding it hostage until i gave them more money for zero service. at no point was i informed, or was any of this implied it would happen. i'm sure they have some small print somehere on their website about this. but as far as i'm aware, this is a complete scam company that makes their money by charging you for a quote. from other reviews i've read, they don't even appear as if they are able to recover most data even if you can afford the insane fee. oh also this whole process took over a month. i just got my drive back today. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!
