This is evil company. They has fake reviews. You should watch videos on Louis Rossmann youtube channel to learn more about how they scare people with lawsuits! Edit: It’s ridiculous that they just wrote back saying "not a customer" - as if they could possibly know for sure whether I am or not 🤣. That changes nothing if you are a bad company; furthermore, you haven't addressed the allegations, you are deleting evidence, and you are threatening lawsuits. You know you’re fighting a losing battle.

None of the information provided by this company was honest or accurate. They stated that you would receive a quote within 24-48 hours; it took over a week. They showed that they had a local office in Cleveland, which is where I was directed to send my hard drive, only to find out that they sent my hard drive to New York - so precious days were wasted having it sent to Cleveland, versus sending it directly to NY. They stated that their pricing was typically on the lower end of their pricing scale (~$300), but when I finally received the quote, it was over $1500, with no explanation of what they found in their initial evaluation. The technical expert assigned to my case number would not answer his phone or return calls. When I finally spoke with the case manager, he was gruff and rude on the phone. He said he would return my hard drive the day I spoke with him, but I still had to send follow-up emails to get it sent and receive a tracking number. When your computer malfunctions and you urgently need to recover data from your hard drive, clear and reliable communication is essential. Unfortunately, this company doesn't provide that service. Do yourself a favor and find a local professional who can offer effective support.

Before shipping your hard drive or paying a non-refundable diagnostic fee to WeRecoverData, look closely at what public records, Consumer Reports, and independent investigations show about their operations: 1-Virtual Storefronts vs. Actual Labs: Despite marketing over 50 "global locations" to dominate search results, investigations confirm that dozens of these listings are merely virtual co-working desks or mail drop-offs (e.g., Regus/Spaces) where no technical staff or recovery hardware exist. 2-Hidden Pricing & Fees: Unlike honest labs that publish clear price tiers, WeRecoverData charges a $95–$100 non-refundable evaluation fee before issuing quotes that routinely reach $1,700 to $4,800+. 3-Misleading Success Metrics: They advertise a "96% success rate" in search metadata while simultaneously stating in their FAQ that they do not publish success rates to avoid misleading customers. 4-Documented Review Manipulation: Former federal criminal investigator Kay Dean (@FakeReviewWatch) documented instances of review-swapping in online groups tied to the business, which previously triggered consumer alerts for suspicious review activity. 5-BBB Rating: The Better Business Bureau rates them an "F" due to unanswered customer complaints. A company handling sensitive, irreplaceable personal data should operate with total transparency, not legal threats, virtual fronts, and contradictory claims. Seek out reputable, transparent data recovery professionals instead.
