WeFunder has been a huge help to our business, and has treated us like a partner every step of the way! From technical assistance, to strategizing, to marketing our raise, they've been super responsive and helpful. We owe a lot of our success as a company to their team and their platform.

OpenGrants recently used WeFunder to successfully raise capital and it was a great experience. I highly recommend the team, they are incredibly talented. We had a great time working with the staff at WeFunder, we were able to file our form c and get capital raised in a very seamless process.

Our experience with WeFunder was fantastic - straight forward start to finish, the team was on hand for any needs we had while setting up our profile, etc (shoutout to Ryan and Thomas who we worked with most closely!). We had a few unique circumstances with high-touch investors that they were happy to assist with. The one thing we'd hoped for more was better reach/more promo to the WeFunder community - but understood that they choose their weekly features fairly, and they can only push so much. The team has since helped us with a few warm intros that made up for it! :)

We had a great experience using WeFunder to equity crowdfund our feature film. Our account manager Jake Suggs was incredibly helpful and responsive, usually emailing us back within 12 hours when we had any questions! The platform itself was easy to use and we have recommended it to many others within our industry!

I cofounded OneDoor Studios and the Calculated movie franchise. Our first equity crowdfunding raise for our first motion picture was done through Wefunder. We had such an amazing experience with them, that even though dozens of times issues would arise that needed to be resolved, the team at Wefunder responded with such professionalism and transparency that we grew to trust them like family. They have the most amazing team, but beyond that we also trust them because their policies and practices are the most reasonable in the industry. They live up to their title as a public benefit corporation. I speak for my partners John Lee and Stephen Wollwerth when we say they earned every bit of their five stars of trust with us. We will continue working with them as long into the future as possible.

Our company raised our initial funding through Wefunder and I personally invested in multiple companies through the platform as well. The whole process is straightforward and everyone on the team is very pleasant to work with. What I really appreciate about Wefunder is, that as a startup company itself, they really put themselves in the founders' shoes and provide great help. Through the process we really built a connection with our account management team and they actively seek our feedback to improve the user experience. In the past few years, we've seen more and more companies benefit from crowdfunding/community round. If you are fundraising, highly recommend considering crowdfunding, and if you are thinking about crowdfunding, highly recommend WeFunder!

First, a quick response to some of those 1-star reviews. Some investors are under the impression that Wefunder should provide updates on companies. As a CEO I can tell you - this is not Wefunder's job, it's mine! If you've invested in a company and you're not receiving updates, ultimately it is the CEO that is to blame, not Wefunder. It's also the investor's responsibility to do enough due diligence on the company before investing to make sure they are legit and have enough runway to survive etc. It sucks when companies fail, but being on the platform is not an endorsement and early stage investing is inherently risky, so do your own research! If something doesn't add up, don't invest. Now for my personal review: I honestly had a really great experience with Wefunder. We have completed two successful rounds with them and our company has raised a little over $2.1M in total. Was it a lot of work to raise this money? YES! Was I hustling every day, often 7 days a week? YES! But I really felt like the Wefunder team was with me every step of the way (special shoutout to Justin and Jake). Wefunder is not going to do the fundraising for you, but they were always supportive of everything I was doing to promote our raise. The few times that there was an issue or question from an investor, they were extremely prompt and got it resolved quickly. I should also note that I interviewed all the other major crowdfunding platforms before our raise. Wefunder had the best terms at the time, had more companies who had raised than any other platform, and the team came across as really good humans (proven to be true). In contrast, some of the other platforms are overly salesy/aggressive, with fee structures that were not founder or investor friendly. Are there some kinks to iron out? Yep, for sure, but I trust this team to figure it out. If we were doing a third round it would also be with them.
