Hi Karen, Thanks for reaching out and reviewing us. I'm sorry you have had a one-star worthy experience on our platform. Returns on Wefunder investments tend to be longer-term, particularly with a convertible note or SAFE as you are waiting until the company goes public or is acquired. It may be quite some time until you see a return. Just to be clear, the reports you first got were from Armbrust. Founders are in charge of keeping their investors informed as the contract is between them and the investors and they are aware of what is happening with their own company. Please understand that Wefunder is a platform that is used by companies to conduct their offerings, which means we provide the technology to allow early stage private companies to raise funds from the crowd and we provide everyday investors the opportunity to be early investors in companies they are excited about. Once an offering is closed, Wefunder informs each company the importance of regular investor updates. However, in the end, Wefunder cannot control what a company decides to do after it closes its offering. I have reached out to the founders on your behalf asking for an update. When I receive an update, I'll make sure it is posted on the raise page in the updates section and that it notifies all investors. I hope that we will be able to get an update for you soon, but appreciate your patience as we try to connect with them. Hi Stephanie, Thanks for reaching out and reviewing us. I'm sorry that you feel your experience has been one star worthy. Unfortunately, as we had talked already, your investment was confirmed with Called Higher Studios and you have a legally binding contract with them that is signed by you and the company. Wefunder cannot just legally break contracts and refund money. I checked your emails that you have received from us and nothing stated you were getting a refund, unfortunately. You did receive an email three months ago letting you know you could opt out of a rolling close for the raise, but you didn't choose to do that. Klinic chose to accept investments based on size and not first-come, first-serve like Wefunder recommends. Unfortunately, Wefunder does not have a say in this as it is ultimately up to the founder. We can only offer our advice. As for Atakama, we are adding you to the international segment simply to make room for more investors to get into the raise. This is a win-win for everyone. I can see that you have already paid for the investment, so it will be good to go. Both of these instances had nothing to do with you being a foreign investor (aside from us moving you to an international segment of the round for Atakama). I hope this better explains Wefunder's stance on everything and that we do value you as an investor on the platform. The raise for Wefunder was hosted by Honeycomb as we cannot legally run our own raise per the SEC/FINRA policies in place. When you went to make the investment, a yellow banner was across the top letting you know that you were on the Honeycomb website while making the investment. You also received an email from us four weeks ago when you made the investment that said "We've received your Wefunder Commitment" followed by "Wefunder partnered with Honeycomb to let this happen." The body of the email said: A Note from Wefunder: We've always wanted to allow anyone to invest small amounts in Wefunder. However, it's been unclear if Wefunder was allowed to fund itself via Regulation Crowdfunding using our affiliate funding portal (no one knows for sure). So, to be safe, we've partnered with our friends at Honeycomb Credit to host our Regulation Crowdfunding offering. Behind the scenes, Honeycomb Portal LLC is the funding portal that is responsible for the compliance of Wefunder's raise. This way, you have another team (not owned by Wefunder) looking out for you.
