I do like both your software and support, but I think you can greatly improve the approval rate of your software, and cut down on support needed, by putting question marks throughout the software, when someone puts their pointer over the question mark, either a float, or popup tells the user, whether admin or a member, what that section does, and how to use it. Then everyone would be able to easily familiarize themselves with the software; which in turn, means happy customers. At the very least their should be two downloadable pdf's (one for admin, one for members) with screenshots throughout explaining how to use the software. Just my opinion, but your clients don't want to have to keep turning to support every time they are trying to do something, anymore than I'm sure you guys like spending your time answering support questions. Provide one or the other that I've described above, and I guarantee your testimonials will go through the roof, and you will have all kinds of clients becoming affiliates as well. Sincerely, Brian M. Ok I'm not tech savvy, but I know what I wanted & what I needed. I could not praise these guys high enough. I've been what I believe to be a royal pain in the ?&?As I don't understand tech talk! But... Support, performance & design are bang on! I've got what I needed, although I feel many more tech questikns to follow, but I would not hesitate to recommend these guys, especially to all none tech people!

I recently purchased the chameleonsocial script due to the more modern web and mobile design compared to some of its competitors. It's also set at a competitive price point. However, there are a few design elements that I hope they will improve for the urban mobile theme. Furthermore, the admin dashboard could use a more modern and friendly UI. Also, when ordering, I purchased the fake profile set. Luckily I looked over the profile images before importing them because they looked like 'obvious' fakes. So the extra $47 was a waste since I had to purchase a profile set from somewhere else where the profiles look like real dating/social website members. The support is responsive and I've gotten answers within a few hours (I understand time differences) so that's a good thing. But, the support answers at times are very 'canned'. Since I haven't fully setup my website and started advertising, I cannot make a thorough review just yet since it's not getting traffic. However, I'm satisfied with most features at this point.

I've been using this software for about a month, and overall, pleased with the package. There are a few drawbacks that must be overcome. Without an in-depth user manual, this software can be very confusing during initial setup. Learning the use of its many features comes down to trial and error. If the site administrator is confused, think of how the new users feel and how quickly they'll move on in frustration. Support tickets, at times, are confusing with short, non-verbose answers. The following is an actual example: My first post, I've seen the check boxes, in the administrator cPanel, where I can assign specific users as moderators of photos and text. I've assigned three users this capability and when they login there is a "Moderator" link on their home page. When they click on this link, they're taken to a page with three buttons, "Moderator Photo", "Moderator Essay" and "Save". Clicking on any of these links, causes the page to refresh, but nothing else. Realizing there was no new user to approve, I created a "test profile" waiting for approval, and again, nothing happens. How do these three moderators use the assigned capabilities? The reply, Please activate in menu "Main > Options > Site options": - The texts need to be checked - The photos need to be checked Second post, As I said in the first post; I've checked the boxes. Now, I want to know how to use this ability. Second reply, Please make sure that these options active in "Main > Options > Site options. Third post, Are these "canned responses"? This is twice you've sent this type of reply and this is the third time I've said, "Yes, the boxes are checked." What I need to know is, "How do the moderators use the software to approve/disapprove photos or text?" A step-by-step would be great! Third reply, Member upload photo in profile or change text fields and these values appear on moderator page. Forth post, Thank you. I have tested it and understand how it works now. This ticket can be closed. As you can see, my third post expressed my frustration. Next issue: As an administrator, I've rearranged the top navigation menu order, but an additional option should be: the ability to move menu items to a drop-down sub menu location. For instance, move "Groups" below the "Forums". As with any software, I understand there is a learning curve, but an in-depth manual is definitely needed.

I have been using the Websplosion platform for a few months now, and overall I am very pleased with it. It has a good range of features and any problems can expect a timley response that gets straight to the point, which is important. I do currently have one suggestion, after google announcing it's importance of mobile site optimization recently (April 21st). It got me looking into how my site looked in this regard. Currently the mobile version of the site offered by websplosion is functional but does look very dated and screams in need of an update to haul into 2015. Over the last few years I think websites could get away with maybe not having a strong mobile version but now that is not the case and every site definitely needs a strong mobile offfering or face decline. The standard templates (as viewed desktop wise ) are very good and I'm very pleased with them. There is a lot of content you choose to add or leave out depending on which direction your site is going. 4/5 stars because there is always some room for improvement but overall very good!
