Amazing value & fabrics, not too great otherwise
Honestly, the overall customer experience is not too great; their business model means that you're not getting the jeans you ordered until a couple months later, and you have to pay for shipping to send it back if it doesn't fit you, in which case you'll be refunded store credit. It's been a real struggle to figure out which size I should be ordering because their cuts are very different from the other brands I'm used to wearing. The main difference is that the low-rise cuts are very unforgiving, especially when I have wider hips than the average dude. I used to try getting pants that fit tight to the lower leg, but I gave up on that with Gustin; if it makes it over my hips, that's what I'm keeping. 32 slim is the sweet spot for me, while 33 skinny is great on the top block but very tight around my calves (I got cyclist calves) and 31 vintage straight is comfy but loose on the legs and so high-waisted it runs into my modest paunch. On the plus side, they have a truly amazing selection of fabrics in all sorts of colors, materials, and thicknesses, which is why I put up with the sizing headaches. The prices are reasonable enough that I treat them like a once a season luxury, and their stock sales are a fast way to acquire pieces if they happen to have something you're looking for in your size.
