Great Concept, Disappointing Reliability I really liked the WaterGuru SENSE 2 and its ability to monitor pool chemistry daily. Unfortunately, I’ve experienced multiple unit failures in less than two years, despite proper maintenance and ongoing cassette purchases. My latest unit completely stopped working, with no power or indicator lights even after replacing the batteries. WaterGuru support offered no replacement because the warranty had expired, only a discount toward purchasing another unit. For a product at this price point, I expected much better reliability and customer support. I’ve decided to move on and cannot recommend it based on my experience.

It was great when it worked. My second one has now stopped working after a little over a year, as did the first one. I live in the Southern U.S. and 100 degree days in the summer are not unusual, may be it is the heat.

I’ve been a WaterGuru customer since 2022 starting with their Sense 1, but I’m done. They are only convenient while they work. I’ve gone through 5 devices/replacements during the four year period and 1-year warranty is simply not enough when the devices don’t appear to last much beyond that. At this point, the cost no longer outweighs the convenience even when you’re asked to replace them at a discounted price. I expected much better reliability from a product at this price point.

I bought a Sense S3 in June. Worked great until it died in August (6 weeks). Spent 3 hours with customer service until they agreed it broke under warrantee. Said they would email me back with a resolution. No luck. Bought another. Hope it holds up. $900 spent so far for 2 units and cartridges.

I am on my 3rd WaterGuru and it has stopped working. It has lasted 4 months. Great when they work but they don’t last very long.
