Solid lecture and case study to follow along. Videos are interactive, and you will find satisfaction in completing a model and learning something new. Organized in an orderly fashion, and easy to follow. Prepares you well for interviews

I enjoyed the excel modeling course. It was very insightful and helpful in improving my technicals.

PE course was generally pretty good. Strengths: -Deal walk throughs were spot on and a perfect way to walk through the deal; Could be improved by talking about what kinds of followup questions you'll get from interviewers and how to think more deeply about whether an investment is a strong one -Paper and Basic LBOs were really helpful to understand and get down the mechanics for an LBO. More practice LBOs would be very helpful Areas to Improve -Need to update answer keys more quickly; Don't think the answer key for Full LBO #1 was ever available for the year that I used the course. Almost unacceptable given any PE associate could make a video answer key for it in a few hours -Spend more time talking about how to prioritize interviewing at funds, very under appreciated part of the process assuming you're prepared -Spend more time talking about how to prepare for head hunter screens. Seen many strong colleagues mess these up

Good model cases with curveballs, as well as comprehensive deal sheets. Could expand on fund information, i.e. fund strategy/size/recent developments/fundraising/recruiting process - to the extent that you have info.

Well worth the money, plenty of good material in there and excellent practice tests. Definitely helped with recruiting although I didn't go for the PE route in the end, would highly recommend. The reason for 4 stars is that some videos have some sound issues and as a result can be a bit quiet.

Great content, thoughtful organization of forums, and useful data. I definitely would have been lost during recruiting if I didn’t have this website. Only gripe I have is that the search bar doesn’t return very helpful and/or relevant results.

WSO helped me tremendously when I was getting my start in finance. I began my journey as a disillusioned former pre-med student looking for another professional path - others had recommended I consider investment banking, but I had no idea where to even begin breaking in. The community at WSO provided helpful advice around prepping for interviews, how to build my recruiting strategy, and what to do after I finally did land that all-important internship. Fast forward to the present day, almost a decade later, and I am wrapping up my second year at a top MBA program, headed to an excellent investment firm in NY to begin the next phase of my career when I graduate. My only complaint about WSO is that it increasingly seems to attract a large number of very opinionated high school and college students who confidently spread misinformation about the industry and clutter the off-topic forums with barely concealed white nationalist / angry incel discussions. These people diminish the quality of the entire community. In contrast, mid-career and senior professionals who could actually provide value-added advice have become less visible in recent years. I feel that WSO's usefulness to me has declined sharply for that reason - I would not feel comfortable associating my real name with much of what happens on the site nowadays.

The site is highly informative for those looking to learn more about the various roles within high finance. Would be fantastic if they could add a Private Credit job role already—they have so many which have close to zero users, yet this large and growing asset class is ignored. I also think the search function could be improved, as finding certain threads can be challenging at times.
