Patrick is great and the website is informative for people pursuing banking and trading careers.

Though I'm a couple years removed from my last big finance job, I appreciate the insights from the top posts each week. A nice mix of what's happening, general angst over people's careers, and some humorous anecdotes.

From my experience, WSO is a great forum with quality posts and serious participants from within the industry. I gained a lot of inside knowledge from asking and reading others' questions. Many of the information there is invaluable and unavailable anywhere else, even paid sources. Definitely worth one's time and well-moderated.

A hedge fund owner looking to do community service helped me reconstruct my resume, and provided me with conscientious and actionable career advice, at a fee structure corresponding to 3% of what his time is normally worth, i.e. essentially as a volunteer; I suspect he was grateful for some recent good fortune and wanted to pay it forward, which he did. Very useful for my trajectory and much appreciated.

Excellent resume writing that helped me get several offers!

Used this service ~3 years ago and was matched up with a guy @ a HF who went back and forth with me a couple times on the updated resume. I think this is one of my least favorite things to do - talking about myself/current job... so having someone in the space review/help out was a huge plus and well worth the $. I ended up moving to a FO role - and while I don't think my updated resume really played a huge factor, I was confident that it was "up to snuff" vs other candidates with "more pedigree" and was one less thing to worry about during the process. I'll be using it again in the future for sure.

The resume review was amazing. I was paired up with a very knowledgeable recruiter from an investing firm that was able to make the resume using their industry knowledge. I filled out an emailed questionnaire and had a rough draft of the resume in a few days. Then we emailed back and forth a few times to make changes. I’m very pleased with the final product. My old resume that I made using my school suggested template didn’t lead to any interviews, but when I used the new WSO provided resume I started getting several interviews and landed my first investing job. The service is well worth the investment, with a couple hundred dollars leading to a six figure income. I couldn’t recommend the service any more.

I purchased a few resume reviews from WSO and received resumes that were immediately able to get me interviews at hedge funds. I did end up getting an internship so the review helped a lot.
