The only part of WSO that I used was the forums. I found them extremely helpful to get feedback and advice from like-minded individuals. WSO has done an excellent job in attracting people who're all going through a similar career experience so the forums were an excellent source of information for me. Honestly, it has been a while since I've used WSO though but I believe some of the interview prep was useful but not the best available. I remember I did use other resources for interview prep. I'd suggest having more industry specific technical questions which do get asked a lot in interviews. At least, I was interviewing for O&G and I remember a lot of the questions were very O&G specific; however, if I recall correctly a lot of the interview prep is very general.

It's been a good experience being able to help act as bumper rails in the bowling lane of these fresh out of school and entry level wallstreeters thinking they're going for an immediate strike and eventual perfect game. Being able to weigh in with some real world examples to show something they may have missed in their optimism just to urge some caution and prudence. The other senior members are also always helpful and polite. There's no real "flame wars" unless someone seemingly causes it on purpose. And honestly, sometimes we senior members do it to each other because we all get a good laugh out of it and it's a good way to make light of some of the real oddities we've come across to help shine some light for the younger cohort.

As a non-traditional student at a non-target school, WSO gave me the resources to perfect my networking abilities and prepare for interviews at literally any financial firm. I continue to use those timeless interview skills to this day, after 10 years in my career, and I now pass them along to up-and-comers. Also, WSO provided much-needed comic relief during those stressful times!

I was very pleased with the process. At the time of purchasing the service many years ago, I did not know how a well prepared CV should look like. By having WSO to help me in the process, I was able to land interviews and consequently secure an analyst position within M&A advisory.

Helpful for interviews, job questions, salary questions, form when I was in my final years at uni to now, several years in the industry.
