Good website. Appreciate that broader community contributes input and that salary data is available. Have used website in the past to help guide interviews and decide on areas of career interest during college. Have found it less relevant now that I have transitioned away from finance.

Was generally impressed with WSO and all the services they offer. The forums are second to none and although I haven’t used their courses I’ve heard good things. Patrick is a stand up guy.

This site has been a great resource throughout my time recruiting as an undergrad and couldn't recommend it enough to other students looking to break into the street. The user experience has also gotten much cleaner over the years.

WallStreetOasis served as a great resource for me to initially get an exposure to financial professional careers -- and more broadly, professional career etiquette and routine, in general. I learned a lot from reading about people's personal experiences with their careers. I learned a lot about basic professional networking from here (some of the older advice here on networking still remains some of the best I have seen). (I should issue a caveat that there will be some amount of bias behind the voices of actual professionals on here.) Additionally, there is some really bad fearmongering that has cultivated within the community that I think has infected the advice that regularly circulates this forum. As useful as the professionalism advice I've received from this site, it also left me so paranoid talking with professionals that I think I actually ruined some connections I made with people over the years. This site has also gone down the drain as a place for political extremism to fester, unfortunately. I am not sure if the staff has come up with a strategy to successfully address this problem, but it has really affected the usability of this service. So for as good as it was, it was also just as bad. WITH THAT SAID, I do want to point out that their Mentor, Resume Review, and Talent portal are amazing services. I have used some of them and I can reassure from my own experience the professionalism, integrity, and credibility of many of the professionals who are within their network for those services. The network is also huge, so it goes a long way as well. If for nothing else you want to get out of this place, I highly recommend using those services.

The website was super helpful for me throughout college to identify what career path I wanted to pursue. There are helpful interview guides with practice questions on the site. During my first job I heavily used the forums to get tips on how to be a top performer and ideas for pivoting into my next role.
