Slippers showed the way
Having worked from home since the beginning of COVID and wearing unsupportive slippers all day, every day, I developed knee pain that I eventually suspected might be from overpronation, so I decided to give WalkHero a try with the Wide Toe Box Arch Support Slippers, just to see if I was on the right diagnosis. They helped to a degree, but not well enough. I even bought the stronger inserts, but there was no further improvement. As a slipper, they do not provide the strong motion control I need, as a specifically designed shoe does. However, thanks to my minor investment in WalkHero, I knew I was on the right path. I have moved on to very high motion control athletic and dress shoes in different brands for when I leave the house or work outside, and I find I am going to have to dedicate a pair of similar shoes solely for in-house use. If your use of slippers is occasional to modest, WalkHero slipper products may be all you need for overpronation and not other conditions, but they are not enough for me for all-day, every-day use. However, they will remain in my closet for infrequent quick use.
