Not a bad solution for watching different movies online. Of course, there are tons of video hosting services nowadays, but Vudu hooked me by its endemicity. The prices are favorable, signing up was quite fast, no troubles issuing a rent of the movie I wanted to watch. Why not to consider this one of the best Support service is quite responsive, these guys guided me as I had problems navigating the website.

When Walmart moved out and turned it over to Fandango Vudu I could not log in to my account anymore. To top things off my email associated with my Walmart account was no longer valid. I set up a new account and tried several times to speak to CS. Finally got through to someone after several months. The rep was very polite and said it would be no problem to combine my old purchases(there are a few)into my new account. 2 weeks and still waiting. Update 3/30/23 Vudu finally came through and merged my old account purchases to my new account!

I’ve had VUDU for ages and have it linked to Movies Anywhere so most of my digital content is available on multiple services. I find it very convenient and user friendly plus it uses less bandwidth than some (especially since you can choose video quality) so it’s the primary app we use to watch owned content. We’ve rented a movie a couple of times, purchased a few, and watch some of the free movies if something interesting pops up. I always check my library before buying any new physical or digital movies so haven’t had an issue with accidentally buying doubles since that can happen if it’s a different resolution. They had a bit of a downtime issue recently but I found the info online so just waited it out and used another streaming service. I like that I can download movies to watch or listen to on long trips. I’m not crazy about losing Walmart instawatch or that some content won’t share with Movies Anywhere but I think the latter issue is because the movies aren’t available on that platform. I can’t remember a single time we’ve had to call customer service so I can’t speak to that but considering we are older folks who haven’t had any issues requiring assistance says something…

Similar to Tubi but not as good. You can often find movies that you'd have to pay to watch elsewhere. The app is easy to navigate. It runs smoothly on my Android phone and iPod. You can make a handy watchlist. If you stop in the middle of a movie or TV episode, you can later pick up right where you left off. A good option for their free movies if you don't mind commercials. Thanks, Vudu!

This review was originally a one star. It changed. Long story short: If you want to get actual help from VUDU call the support number and speak to a human. I'm pretty sure the email contact option goes to a 486 computer somewhere in the Crab Nebula. Original bitter review follows: I have been using VUDU for many years and have been pleased with the quality. It came installed on my Oppo blu ray player so for a while it was the best choice for me since I could stream through the Oppo and benefit from the great picture offered by that player. Recently I purchased around 6 movies that were being advertised in a UHD sale. I received SD versions of them. I contacted support two weeks ago and have yet to hear back from them. Since then I've been sending the same message every day. Customer service is non-existent. I will be trying to contact Fandango soon to see if I have better luck with their parent company but I doubt it will do any good. Looks like I'm going to be using another streaming service. Unfortunate. I liked VUDU. But I'm voting with my wallet. And telling many people to stay away... Actually just buy physical media. The image and sound quality are better and you don't need to worry about streaming speeds or internet connection. Also you OWN something. Not just overpriced ones and zeroes.

They're owned and operated by Walmart. Those saying they're a rip off are probably too young to remember video stores where you'd go in Friday night and rent 5 movies and a game of 2 and procrastinated taking them back because they didn't get to all the movies or that game was so so so fun! They take them back to late fees of $25 or $30! Like $75 or $100 now! I was working a minimum wage job back then @ $3.35/hr!

I have used Vudu to purchase and store my movies and TV series for many years now. Since 2012 if I remember correctly. I have never had any issue with Vudu. I felt the need to write this review simply because I don't see many positive reviews listed on this site. I have not experienced any of the issues that were negative. My only complaint is this one thing. When you purchase a TV series that is a new season which is being aired over the paramount network in my case. "Yellowstone", after an episode Aires on the network you still can not watch the latest episode until sometime 10 hours later. One example of this is last night at 8:00 p.m. the finale aired. It is now 3:00 a.m. the following day and I still can not watch the episode. I don't know what enables customers to actually see the latest episodes but this process needs some attention. I would love to see the finale that was aired last night but I am still waiting to watch it even though I have paid for this a long time ago. What's up???
