Always found Volta OK.
Volta are OK to work with IF you remember they are a budget car organisation. If you want to chop and change or not stand in a queue then go to a "main stream provider" of rental cars but pay more. "You pays your money you takes your choice". I have never ("touch wood") been falsely charged for damage. Generally the cars supplied are in good condition - some almost new. The "web offer" prices are really "economic" (we don't do "cheap"). The down side to low prices is the number of staff available to deal with customers and the high "security deposit" charge placed on the MANDATORY credit card. Debit cards won't let Volta take any money after damage is done during the hire. In my case the money was not actually taken from the credit card but "blocked" and is released again after some days. So generally a good experience. I would always consider them when hiring cars in Athens.
