Vanderbilt Mortgage and FinanceReviews of vmf.com

Run far away. They are horrible. They do not care and no matter what you say they will give TERRIBLE advice. I have never been so disgusted with a mortgage company and I work in insurance so I deal with mortgage companies almost daily.

I am extremely disappointed with our experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance with the purchasing of a property that was handled by Blaine Reece. The property was listed for $109,000. We put in an offer, and the agent, Blaine Reece, counteroffers back $150,000 with no inspection . This was $41,000 over the asking price. We have bought several properties in the past, and we have never encountered a situation like this. This was unprofessional and ridiculous! We also encountered a discrepancy with the title of the property. In my opinion, this is something that should’ve been resolved before the property was ever put on the market. This created unnecessary stress and uncertainty. When someone is making a financial commitment, they should be able to expect the company to verify the title and negotiate reasonable counteroffers. Our experience with Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, I would be very hesitant to recommend this company to anyone considering to purchase a property through them.

Went to look at a house in Daniels WV. 207 chestnut ln..priced at 59k. Skirt was all torn up..screen door had been broken into.. needed a new roof..water leak in bathroom with mold growing in tub.giant hole in floor; covered up by new carpet,,spent 1600$ coming to look at this home just to get screwed....

I have had the WORST experience with Vanderbilt and their team. For starters I purchased a home 5 years ago, the day came where we were ready to sell. I reached out to Vanderbilt to get a copy of my title only to find out that they never transferred the title over to my name. I have been dealing with them for a month trying to get this fixed. They let me know last Friday that they sent the paperwork needed to my DMV. today when I called the DMV to see if they had finally received it, I was told that Vanderbilt sent my documents to a different county’s DMV. The DMV now has to send the documents back to Vanderbilt then Vanderbilt has to send it back to my county, mind you I’m in Colorado!!!! I have let Vanderbilt know that this is time sensitive as I already had buyers for my mobile home and closing was going to be soon, they obviously didn’t care I offered to pay for overnight shipping the first time so that this could get here on time and they refused, I asked THEM to pay for overnight shipping and they refused as well. Every single one of their supervisors have promised to give me a call back when they find something out, I wait until the next day to call them back and surprisingly the supervisor is busy and can’t take any calls. None except for Hunter has called me back to let me know how the process is going. I was in contact with one other supervisor who gave me nothing but wrong information the whole time she was extremely rude. While I understand that mistakes are made, Vanderbilt has not once done anything to resolve this matter effectively, successfully or on a timely manner.

This is by far the worst company I have EVER worked with, not just for financial services but their customer service and common knowledge of their own products and offerings. Even to someone with a near 800 credit score I was treated like garbage! They wanted 35% equity in order to get the going market rate! That is INSANE! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use VMF they are SCAMMERS!
