FORCED SOFTWARE UPDATES BRICK FUNCTIONAL TVs TO EXPAND CORPORATE AD NETWORKS Do not buy a VIZIO television under any circumstances. If you own an older model, disconnect it from the internet immediately before corporate greed renders your hardware completely useless. I received my VIZIO TV as a gift from my employer 18 months ago after it was lightly used at a trade show. For months, it worked flawlessly. It connected seamlessly to my Xfinity Wi-Fi and easily streamed Prime Video, Peacock, and Disney+. It was a perfectly functional piece of consumer electronics. That all changed following the recent corporate merger updates. VIZIO and Walmart have forcefully deployed a series of unoptimized software patches, constant reboots, and forced account migrations that have completely broken the TV's core firmware. The TV is now stuck in an endless, unescapable setup loop. It constantly "forgets" the Wi-Fi connection, rejects login credentials, fails QR code scans, and refuses to retain basic network handshakes.I have wasted over five hours performing hard factory resets, power-cycling routers, and following every single troubleshooting step available. The internal SmartCast OS is fundamentally broken. The only way to salvage this television and keep it from ending up in a landfill is to completely cut it off from the internet and spend more money to buy a third-party streaming stick (like a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick) to bypass VIZIO’s broken native software.VIZIO has essentially bricked functional consumer hardware to force users into a data-tracking, ad-driven retail ecosystem. Forcing consumers to buy extra hardware to fix a problem created by the manufacturer's own incompetent software deployment is unacceptable. Avoid this brand entirely.

Your TV is junk. Picture is good is all I can say. If I would have done more research I would have never bought one. I should have went back with an LG. And I would not recommend this junk of a TV to my own enemy.!

Wish I could give this a rotten tomato rating. Does not even deserve 1 star. I bought a 24" TV from Walmart about 2-1/2 years ago. I was in a rush and did not research. Hotwire was in the apartment wiring and told us the TVs we had were too old to be compatible with their technology. They were both as old as the hills. I ran out to WM and bought the only TV in this size range. It was the only one that would fit the cabinet. Up until now it wasn't bad. The last few days, whenever I turned it on, the first screen I got asked me for a Google log in I was able to clock out of it. Why should I need a Google log in for this Then yesterday I got a screen that said I needed a Walmart login. I tried to get out of it and got onto a Screen that wanted me to get a Vizio WatchFree+ account. My condo association pays Hotwire. Why should I need a Vizio account too? Now I did research. I learned that WalMart bought out Vizio and is using Vizio as an advertising outlet. I hate when big companies think they have a right to your whole life. Just because I buy cucumbers at Walmart does not give them a right to rule my leisure activities. We called Hotwire for help - just a short while ago. Remember - this is not their fault. They were having trouble re-setting the box remotely. They're sending a technician, to the house, between 4&6 this afternoon. That is good customer service!!! Ten stars for Hotwire! If you're thinking of buying a Vizio TV - just don't.

Awful!!! Tv shuts off frequently and makes me sign in each and every time that takes around 10 minutes. I tried connecting my ps5 to it and the tv just shuts off nonstop. Worst tv experience I have ever had and I would rather use a tv from the dollar store than purchase another tv from Vizio.

If I could give less than a star, in fact if I could give negative stars I sure would because this company and its outsourced customer service is beyond awful. I bought a new 65 inch TV. Unboxed it and it did not have any screws for the legs stand. I called Vizio to figure out the size and after speaking with an incomprehensible AI I was transfered to a customer service rep who, barely audible or intelligible told me a size of the screw and it was available at any hardware store. I searched and found no screw matching what he told me. Made a guess and when those did not work I called back and another customer service rep gave me a different size and then backtracked when I questioned why the other guy gave me a different size. He then put me on hold searched Walmart and directed me to go to their site and search for doorbell security camera screws. Weird I thought I bought a TV. The Walmart in my town doesn't have them in stock so my only option is to order those and wait 10 days. Ten days to use a Smart TV because of 4 screws. I asked him to just send me 4 screws and he said they couldn't do that. I didn't choose violence so I hung up and wrote this review as a catharsis for me and a warning for whomever reads this.
